Otto Danieli (born c. 1943) [1] is a Swiss curler and World Champion. He won a gold medal at the 1975 World Curling Championships. [2] He coached the West German team at the 1986 World Women's Curling Championship. [1]

Kevin Martin, nicknamed "The Old Bear" and "K-Mart", is a Canadian retired curler from Edmonton, Alberta, an Olympic, world and 4-time Canadian champion and a member of the World Curling Hall of Fame. Jonathan Mead is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Mead played third for Wayne Middaugh's rink until the end of the 2009–10 curling season. Beginning in the 2010–11 curling season, he again played third for Jeff Stoughton's Manitoba team.

David Smith is a Scottish curler. He is the brother of curler Peter Smith and the father of curlers Mili Smith, Kyle Smith and Cameron Smith.

He is a two-time world curling champion, representing Canada. When curling in Canada, Folk represented both Saskatchewan and British Columbia.

The Kamloops Crown of Curling is an annual bonspiel, or curling tournament, held in October at the Kamloops Curling Club in Kamloops. The purse for the event is CAD$30,000 each for the men's and women's events.

Brendan Bottcher Canadian curler

Brendan Michael Bottcher is a Canadian curler from Sherwood Park, Alberta. Bottcher is a three-time provincial men's champion, and currently is the skip of the defending Canadian men's championship team, having led Alberta to victory at the 2021 Tim Hortons Brier.

B. J. Neufeld Canadian curler

Brendan "B. J." Neufeld is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Neufeld plays third for the Kevin Koe rink. He started curling around the age of ten and, like older brother Denni Neufeld, cites the achievements of his father as leading his interest into the game of curling. His father is Chris Neufeld who was a three-time Manitoba curling champion and one time Labatt Brier champion in 1992 as part of the Vic Peters team.

The World Curling Championships are the annual world championships for curling, organized by the World Curling Federation and contested by national championship teams. There are men's, women's and mixed doubles championships, as well as men's and women's versions of junior and senior championships. There is also a world championship for wheelchair curling. The men's championship started in 1959, while the women's started in 1979. The mixed doubles championship was started in 2008. Since 2005, the men's and women's championships have been held in different venues, with Canada hosting one of the two championships every year: the men's championship in odd years, and the women's championship in even years. Canada has dominated both the men's and women's championships since their inception, although Switzerland, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Scotland, the United States, Norway and China have all won at least one championship.

The 2015 World Men's Curling Championship was held from March 28 to April 5 at the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. It marked the first time that a World Curling Championship had been held in Halifax, and the first time that a World Curling Championship event had been held in the province since the World Junior Curling Championships were held in Dartmouth in 1986.

The 2022 World Junior-B Curling Championships was being held from January 3 to 14 at the Kisakallio Sports Institute in Lohja, Finland. The top three men's and women's teams were to qualify for the 2022 World Junior Curling Championships.

The 2022 World Women's Curling Championship is being held from March 19 to 27 at the CN Centre in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada. Prince George was originally chosen to host the 2020 World Women's Curling Championship, but the event was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
