Our Favourite Pop is a pop compilation album by the Japanese musical group paris match. The album's name and cover art are a homage to the British musical group The Style Council's album Our Favourite Shop .

The Beach Boys are an American rock band formed in Hawthorne, California in 1961. The group's original lineup consisted of brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. Distinguished by their vocal harmonies, adolescent themes, and musical ingenuity, they are one of the most influential acts of the rock era. They drew on the music of older pop vocal groups, 1950s rock and roll, and black R&B to create their unique sound, and under Brian's direction, often incorporated classical or jazz elements and unconventional recording techniques in innovative ways.

XTC were an English rock band formed in Swindon in 1972. Fronted by songwriters Andy Partridge and Colin Moulding, the band gained popularity during the rise of punk and new wave in the 1970s, later playing in a variety of styles that ranged from angular guitar riffs to elaborately arranged pop. Partly because the group did not fit into contemporary trends, they achieved only sporadic commercial success in the UK and US, but attracted a considerable cult following. Dennis Carl Wilson was an American musician, singer, and songwriter who co-founded the Beach Boys. He is best remembered as their drummer and as the middle brother of bandmates Brian and Carl Wilson. Dennis was the only true surfer in the Beach Boys, and his personal life exemplified the "California Myth" that the band's early songs often celebrated. He was also known for his brief association with Charles Manson, a cult leader and songwriter later convicted of several murders, and for co-starring in the 1971 film Two-Lane Blacktop.
Westlife are an Irish boy band, which was formed 1998 in Sligo, Ireland. They disbanded in 2012 and reunited in 2018. They were originally signed by Simon Cowell in the UK, Clive Davis in the US and managed by Louis Walsh and Sonny Takhar. The group currently consists of Shane Filan, Markus Feehily, Kian Egan, and Nicky Byrne.
Ace of Base is a Swedish pop group, formed in 1990, originally consisting of siblings Jonas Berggren, Linn Berggren and Jenny Berggren, with Ulf Ekberg.
McFly are an English pop band formed in London in 2003. The band took their name from the Back to the Future character Marty McFly. The band consists of Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd (drums). They were signed to Island Records from their 2004 launch until December 2007, before creating their own label, Super Records.
Sparks is an American pop and rock duo, originally formed as a Los Angeles band called Halfnelson in 1967 by brothers Ron (keyboards) and Russell Mael (vocals). Known for their quirky approach to songwriting, Sparks' music is often accompanied by sophisticated and acerbic lyrics, often about women or Shakespearean literature references, and an idiosyncratic, theatrical stage presence, typified in the contrast between Russell's animated, hyperactive frontman antics and Ron's deadpan scowling. Sound of the Underground is the debut studio album by English-Irish girl group Girls Aloud, formed through the ITV television series Popstars: The Rivals. It was released in Ireland on 23 May 2003, in the United Kingdom and Europe on 26 May 2003, and reissued on 17 November 2003 through Polydor. Girls Aloud worked with a variety of musicians and producers on Sound of the Underground, which was largely inspired by 1980s music. Comparisons were made with artists such as Bananarama, The Bangles, Blondie and Spice Girls.
Marc Eric Terenzi is an American pop singer formerly of the boy band Natural. He was married to German pop/soul singer Sarah Connor from 2005 to 2008. They have a son named Tyler and a daughter named Summer.
More Hits by The Supremes is the sixth studio album by Motown singing group The Supremes, released in 1965. The album includes two number-one hits: "Stop! In the Name of Love" and "Back in My Arms Again", as well as the Top 20 single "Nothing but Heartaches".
The Spiceworld Tour was the debut concert tour by British girl group the Spice Girls. It was launched in support of their second studio album Spiceworld (1997). The sell-out European/North American tour ran from February to August 1998, after which it returned to the UK in September 1998 for a series of stadium shows. The final concert at London's Wembley Stadium was filmed and broadcast live on pay-per-view, for later VHS release in 1998 and eventual DVD release in 2008. The tour saw the group perform to an estimated 2.1 million fans in total, covering Britain, Europe and North America. The 41-date sold-out American leg of the tour grossed $60 million.
La Toya is the fifth studio album by American singer La Toya Jackson released in 1988 by RCA. While the cover and box states the album's name as La Toya, the actual disc and cassette tape state the name as You're Gonna Get Rocked!. Therefore, the album is interchangeably referred to by both names. The album includes "(Ain't Nobody Loves You) Like I Do" and "You're Gonna Get Rocked", which are, to date, two of only five songs by La Toya Jackson to have an accompanying music video. The album was re-released as an expanded 2-CD set under the name You're Gonna Get Rocked! by Cherry Pop Records in December 2013.
Zap Mama is the music act of Belgian artist Marie Daulne. Zap Mama sings polyphonic and afro-pop music, a harmonic music with a mixture of infused African vocal techniques, urban, hip hop with emphasis on voice. The worldwide success of Zap Mama, and an ensemble of female polyphonic singers, inspired influences in American hip hop, nu-soul, jazz and elements of pop. The evolving musical compositions created a diverse band of singers and musicians for Zap Mama.
Naughty Naughty is the third studio album by American singer Sinitta. It was released in 1995 only in Asia in its limited edition. The album contains pop covers of songs from the 1960s to the early 1980s. Two singles were released from this album.
The Complete Adventures of The Style Council is a box set by The Style Council, released in 1998, nine years after their split. It contains most of their material in chronological order, including their previously unreleased final studio album Modernism: A New Decade from 1989 on the fifth disc. It was released after the success of Paul Weller's previous band The Jam's similar 1997 box set Direction Reaction Creation.
"Um Anjo Veio Me Falar" is a song by the Brazilian girl group pop Rouge. it is a version of the song "Angel in My Heart", written by Eliot Kennedy, Suzanne Shaw and Tim Woodcock and performed by the pop groups Hear'Say and Jump5. The Portuguese version was written by the group members with Rick Bonadio, who also produced the song. "Um Anjo Veio Me Falar" is a pop ballad that talks about the quest and expectation of a great love announced by an angel.
