Shashi Kapoor was an Indian actor and film producer who is best known for his works in Hindi films. A recipient of several accolades, including four National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards, he also featured in a number of English-language international films, particularly films produced by Merchant Ivory. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Bhushan in 2011, and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, in 2014, for his contribution to Indian cinema.
Sholay is a 1975 Indian Hindi-language action-adventure film directed by Ramesh Sippy, produced by his father G. P. Sippy, and written by Salim–Javed. The film is about two criminals, Veeru (Dharmendra) and Jai, hired by a retired police officer to capture the ruthless dacoit Gabbar Singh. Hema Malini and Jaya Bhaduri also star, as Veeru and Jai's love interests, Basanti and Radha, respectively. The music was composed by R D Burman.
Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, also known by the initialism QSQT, is a 1988 Indian Hindi-language romantic musical film, directed by Mansoor Khan, written and produced by Nasir Hussain, and starring Aamir Khan along with Juhi Chawla in lead roles. The film was released on 29 April 1988 to widespread critical acclaim, and was a major commercial success at the box office, turning Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla into superstars.
Salim–Javed were an Indian screenwriting duo, composed of Salim Khan and Javed Akhtar, working in Bollywood. They are noted for being among the first Indian screenwriters to achieve star status, becoming one of the most successful Indian screenwriters of all time. They are regarded as among "Hindi cinema's greatest screenwriters". They worked together on 24 films during 1971–1987, of which twenty were commercially and critically successful films. They worked together on 22 Bollywood films, as well as two Kannada films.
Paap (transl. sin) is a 2003 Indian crime thriller film, directed by Pooja Bhatt in her directorial debut, and features John Abraham, Udita Goswami, Gulshan Grover and Mohan Agashe. The film received mixed reviews from critics, praising its cinematography, direction, but criticism for screenplay. The film is remembered for its soundtrack and also marked the Bollywood debut of singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan with "Mann Ki Lagan".
Halla Bol is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language social action drama film written and directed by Rajkumar Santoshi. Halla Bol stars Ajay Devgn and Vidya Balan in pivotal roles and a number of celebrities from the Hindi and other film industries appear as themselves. Produced by Samee Siddiqui, the film's score and soundtrack was composed by Sukhwinder Singh, while Natarajan Subramaniam and Steven Bernard were the cinematographer and editor respectively. It was released on 11 January 2008. The film was remade with an adapted story in Bengali in 2010 named Pratidwandi.
Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na is a 2008 Indian Hindi-language coming-of-age romantic comedy film written and directed by Abbas Tyrewala and produced by Mansoor Khan and Aamir Khan under Aamir Khan Productions, with Ajay K. Bijli and Sanjeev K. Bijli of PVR Pictures acting as co-producers. The film stars Imran Khan and Genelia D'Souza with Prateik Babbar, Manjari Fadnis and Ayaz Khan.
Anita Raj Khurana is an Indian actress and daughter of Jagdish Raj, whose notable roles include Films Prem Geet (1981), Ghulami (1985), Kusum in Zara Si Zindagi (1983), Anita in Zameen Aasman (1984) and Shobha in Masterji (1985). Daulat is a 1982 Bollywood action film directed by Mohan Segal.The film stars Vinod Khanna, Raj Babbar, Zeenat Aman and Amjad Khan in lead roles. The music was composed by R D Burman. A couple of songs became popular. "Teri Har Ada Hai Haseen", duet song sung by Kishore Kumar and Asha Bhosale, is an evergreen, charming classic.
Hemant Birje is an Indian actor who works primarily in Hindi language films. In 1985, he debuted as Tarzan in Babbar Subhash's Adventures of Tarzan, also starring Kimi Katkar. He has had mixed success in later films. He was a regular actor in Mithun Chakraborty films. In 2005, Birje appeared in Garv: Pride and Honour, starring Salman Khan. He has also appeared in Malayalam and Telugu movies.
Insaniyat Ke Dushman is a 1987 Hindi-language action drama film directed by Rajkumar Kohli. The film features an ensemble cast of Dharmendra, Shatrughan Sinha, Raj Babbar, Sumeet Saigal, Dimple Kapadia, Anita Raj, Amjad Khan, Shakti Kapoor, Kader Khan, Aruna Irani, along with Smita Patil in a special appearance. The film revolves around a young lawyer seeking revenge against the perpetrators who raped his sister and drove her to suicide. It also contains a subplot revolving around an honest cop and his brother, and how the need for wealth drives them apart and leads to a situation where the cop is forced to arrest his own brother.
Khiladi 786 is a 2012 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Ashish R Mohan. The film stars Mithun Chakraborty, Akshay Kumar, Raj Babbar, Asin, Himesh Reshammiya, and Mukesh Rishi. It is the eighth installment in the Khiladi film series.
Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns is a 2013 Indian romantic thriller drama film directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. It is the sequel to the 2011 film, Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster and the second installment of the Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster film series. The film stars Jimmy Sheirgill and Mahi Gill, who reprised their roles from the previous film, while new additions to the cast include Irrfan Khan and Soha Ali Khan. The film was released on 8 March 2013. Jimmy Shergill won Best Actor Award for this film at 11th Norway Bollywood Film Festival in Oslo. A sequel titled Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3 was released on 27 July 2018 and got poor reviews because of its poor script and weak plotlines.

Baaghi 2 is a 2018 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Ahmed Khan. Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, it is the second installment in Baaghi film series, a spiritual sequel to the 2016 film Baaghi and a remake of the 2016 Telugu film Kshanam. It stars Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, Manoj Bajpayee, Darshan Kumar, Prateik Babbar, Randeep Hooda, Deepak Dobriyal and Arravya Sharma and tells the story of Ranveer "Ronnie" Pratap Singh, an Indian Army officer who sets out to find and rescue his ex-girlfriend's three-year-old daughter from the clutches of her kidnappers in Goa. Principal photography commenced for the film in August 2017, and it was shot in Mumbai, Pune, Shanghai, Goa, China, Manali and Thailand. The film was finished with a budget of ₹59 crore (US$7.4 million), including print and promotion costs.
Bachchhan Paandey is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language action comedy film directed by Farhad Samji, produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Arshad Warsi and Jacqueline Fernandez. Pankaj Tripathi, Prateik Babbar, Sanjay Mishra and Abhimanyu Singh play supporting roles. It is an official remake of the 2014 Tamil film Jigarthanda which itself was inspired by the 2006 South Korean film A Dirty Carnival. The film was released theatrically on 18 March 2022 and ended up with a tepid response at the box office.
Tiger 3 is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film which marks the fifth installment in the YRF Spy Universe. Starring Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif and Emraan Hashmi, it is directed by Maneesh Sharma and produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films. A sequel to Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), the film is set after the events of War (2019) and Pathaan (2023). In it, Tiger and Zoya set out to stop a rogue ISI agent who uses them to stage a coup against the Pakistani government.
