Paddy Boom (born Patrick Seacor on September 6, 1968) is an American professional drummer. He was the original drummer in the American glam rock band Scissor Sisters.
Born in Singapore, as a teenager he taught himself to play drums, copying the style of U2's Larry Mullen Jr., using curtain rods fashioned into drumsticks on his sofa. He then progressed on to other drummers, and became a big fan of Stewart Copeland from The Police.
Patrick attended the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan to study advertising, where he met Bryan Hynes and Robert Brochu. The three formed the Sloane Rangers a seminal indie art-rock band that was a fixture in the New York rock scene for nearly a decade. TSR recorded two album 1990s "From The From" and 1992's "Scram", the later produced by Mark Spencer, guitarist for Lisa Loeb, Freedy Johnston and Blood Oranges. The Sloane Rangers (TSR) recorded their two albums for Invert Records, an independent label that was founded by Stephen Struthers and Robert Sherman. Invert Records promoted a number of talented bands out of N.Y.C. including Several Other Men, and The Pleasantries.
After TSR, he drummed for many different bands in New York, and started a record label, Boom Boom Records. Through Boom Boom he published his band Faith, for whom he drummed and sang backing vocals.
Paddy drummed professionally in New York for 15 years before he began to feel that his "shelf life was dangerously close to the end".[ citation needed ] He was looking for a new project, and found Scissor Sisters.
He was, and remains, a huge U2 fan, and his dream came true when Scissor Sisters were asked by Bono to open for them on U2's 2005 Vertigo tour. From the words of Paddy, when quoting the Beastie Boys, "I would have given up long ago if it weren't for the music."
After an absence from the band's live lineup for 18 months, it was announced on 16 October 2008 that Paddy had amicably parted ways with the Scissor Sisters. [1]

Ernest Carter is an American drummer. He has toured and recorded with, among others, Bruce Springsteen, David Sancious, Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes and Paul Butterfield. During his time with Springsteen, he played the drums on the song "Born to Run". Able to play all forms of rock as well as rhythm and blues, soul and jazz, Carter was formally trained and blends a variety of styles into his drumming. His successor as the drummer with the E Street Band, Max Weinberg later said that Carter devised a jazz fusion part for "Born to Run" that he could never reproduce in concert, and eventually stopped attempting. Although best known as a drummer, Carter is also a guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist and in 2001 he released a solo album, Temple of Boom, singing and playing all of the instruments.
"Filthy/Gorgeous" is a song by American pop-rock band Scissor Sisters. It is the seventh track on their self-titled debut album. Released as the album's fifth and final single in the United Kingdom on January 3, 2005, the song peaked at number five on the UK Singles Chart, making it the band's first British top-five single. It also reached number one on the UK Dance Chart and on the US Billboard Dance Club Songs chart. In Australia, it peaked at number 29 on the ARIA Singles Chart, and in Ireland, it reached number 13.
Hurrah! A Year of Ta-Dah is the second DVD by the Scissor Sisters, released on November 12, 2007. It contains a live concert filmed at London's O2 Arena as part of the "Kiss You Off" tour in July 2007, as well as a 40-minute documentary, behind-the-scenes footage from the 2007 tour, a 25-minute acoustic gig at an intimate venue, and all four music videos from Ta-Dah.
Manilla Road was an American heavy metal band from Wichita, Kansas, founded by Mark "The Shark" Shelton and Scott "Scooter" Park. Beginning in 1977, the early years of Manilla Road were spent playing mostly progressive rock and space rock but eventually became noticeably heavier with time, the band's later heavy metal sound becoming more and more apparent with the release of Metal in 1982.
