In the 2021 Census, Statistics Canada reported that Padoue had a population of 250 living in 111 of its 123 total dwellings, a 2% change from its 2016 population of 245.

It is located in the Bas-Saint-Laurent region of Quebec, geographically located within the territory of Rivière-du-Loup Regional County Municipality but is not legally part of it. Its population was 0 in the 2006 Canadian census and does not appear in either the 2011 or 2016 Canadian Census. Before 2021 it was known as Whitworth.
