North Goa district is one of the two districts that constitutes the state of Goa, India. The district has an area of 1,736 square kilometres, and is bounded by Kolhapur and Sindhudurg districts of Maharashtra state to the north and by Belgavi district of Karnataka to the east, by South Goa district to the south, and by the Arabian Sea to the west.
Bardez is a taluka of the North Goa district in the Indian state of Goa.
Pernem is a northmost administrative region or sub-district in North Goa. It acts as the Gateway of Goa from Maharashtra side. It is also the name of the town of Pernem, which is its headquarters. It has a Municipal Council. Geographically, Pernem is surrounded by Sawantwadi sub-district on East, Arabian Sea on West, Bardez and Bicholim sub-district on south and Sawantwadi sub-district on north. The two rivers which decide the boundary of this sub-district are Terekhol River and Chapora River. Terekhol river acts as a border of Maharashtra and Goa while Chapora river acts as a border of Pernem sub-district and Bardez sub-district.
Nachinola is a small village in North Goa district, Goa, India. It is situated in Bardez taluka (sub-district) between the villages Moira and Aldona. Nachinola is divided into three vadde that are called Vainguinn, Zoidar, and Borvonn. For administrative purposes, Panarim, a vaddo of Aldona, is also considered to be a part of Nachinola. Nachinola village is hidden from the main road that passes through it and connects Mapusa to Aldona.

Ucassaim is a village in Bardez, in the west coastal region of Goa. It is located close to Mapusa town and is known as the home for some prominent persons from the area. Ucassaim was once is known as Mistirincho Ganv, because of the number of musicians (mistri) who flourished in this village.
Sircaim is a village situated in the Bardez sub-district or taluka of Goa, which lies along the west-coast of India. It lies close to or within the mining belt of North Goa. It is home to a football academy for youth, and a jetty for iron-ore transportation. Though located in Bardez, it has also been involved in mining activities which are otherwise mainly based in Bicholim and other sub-districts of Goa.

It is close to the Colvale river and is the home of the 150-metre long Pirna-Ozarim bridge at Thorli Chandai. The bridge connects Pirna in Bardez taluka with Pernem taluka.
