Pancho Villa is a Finnish restaurant franchise serving Tex Mex cuisine. [1] The first restaurant was opened in 2001 in Tammela, Tampere. [2] [3]

Contents

The franchise has restaurants in 15 municipalities all over Finland. [4] The restaurant in Jyväskylä closed down in February 2014 when its owner Maizen Oy filed for bankruptcy, but almost four months later a new restaurant was opened by a new owner. [5] [6]

The franchise serves hamburgers, [7] steaks and tortillas [8] among other items. Like other franchises, Pancho Villa also hosts theme weeks, such as the Burger weeks. [9] The franchise was named after the famous Mexican revolutionary leader Pancho Villa. [10]

The new facility is expected to be available for the 2024 season.

The Commerce house is a five-floor residential and business building in Tampere, Finland, located along the Hämeenkatu street and the Tampere Central Square at the so-called Jugendtori square, built in 1899. The building represents the Art Nouveau style and was designed by the Helsinki-based architecture bureau Andersin, Jung ja Bomanson. The name of the building comes from the French word commerce, meaning business or commerce.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Villa Rana</span> 1905 building in Jyväskylä

Villa Rana is an Art Nouveau building designed by architect Yrjö Blomstedt on Seminaarinmäki in Jyväskylä. It was completed in 1905 and housed the drawing and sculpture rooms of the Jyväskylä seminary until the end of the 1950s. The University of Jyväskylä subsequently had offices in Villa Rana, but gave up the use of the building due to its high rent. In 2015, it was submitted to Europa Nostra's list of Europe's most endangered cultural heritage sites, but it was not selected. Instead Helsinki-Malmi Airport was the chosen entry from Finland for the list.
