Pandavula Gutta (also Pandavula Guttalu or Pandavula Guhalu) is an ancient geological site and cave located near Kothapally village in Regonda mandal of Jayashankar Bhupalpally district in the Indian state of Telangana. [1] It was designated as the only geoheritage site of Telangana. [2] [3] Telangana tourism and Forest department developed the entire area into a significant ecotourism centre. [4] [5] The site is situated 55 k.m from Warangal. [6]
The cave known for historic rock paintings in the Deccan plateau, older than the Himalayan hills. Palaeolithic cave paintings have been found at Pandavula Gutta. The cave was first discovered in 1990 by K. Ramkrishna Rao and S.S. Rangacharyulu, officials of Archaeological Survey of India, Hyderabad. [7] [8] There was habitation from the Mesolithic period, i.e. 4,000-20,500 years old. Rock art paintings depict wild animals like Bison, Antelope, Tiger, as well as swastika symbol, geometrical designs as circles, squares and various ancient weapons are there. [9] [10] Along with the pre-historic paintings, there are many inscriptions of Rashtrakutas period. [11] Mythologically it is believed that the Pandavas, stayed there for a while during their twelve years exile at Vana Parva. [12] [13]

Ramappa Temple, also known as the Rudreshwara temple, is a Kakatiya style Hindu temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva, located in Palampet village, Mulugu district, Telangana, India. It is 15 km (9.3 mi) from Mulugu, 66 km (41 mi) from Warangal, 209 km (130 mi) from Hyderabad. An inscription in the temple says it was constructed in the year 1213 CE by Recharla Rudra Reddy—a general of Kakatiya ruler Ganapati Deva. Located in the vicinity of Ramappa Lake, the Ramappa Temple complex which consist of three temples was constructed between 1212 and 1234, designed and architect by Ramappa—after whom the temple complex is named. Marco Polo, during his visit to the Kakatiya empire, supposedly called the temple "the brightest star in the galaxy of temples". In July 2021, Ramappa Temple was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Sammakka Saralamma Mulugu district is a district located in the eastern region of the Indian state of Telangana. Its headquarters is the town of Mulugu. Mulugu district is the least populated district with 294,671 in the state. Mulugu district has the fewest mandals in the state with nine mandals. It currently borders Warangal, Mahabubabad, Jayashankar Bhupalpally and Bhadradri districts and with the state of Chhattisgarh.
Kothapalli Jayashankar, popularly known as Professor Jayashankar, was an Indian academic and social activist. He was a leading ideologue of the Telangana Movement. He fought for a separate state beginning in 1952. He often stated that unequal distribution of river water was the root cause of the separate Telangana movement. He was the former Vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya University and an activist in the Separate Telangana Movement.

Hanamkonda Assembly constituency is a former assembly constituency of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in Telangana state of India, then part of United Andhra Pradesh. During the 2008 delimitation exercise the constituency was bifurcated into Warangal West and Warangal East. This constituency was created in 1978 originally from the earlier united Warangal Assembly constituency and existed between 1978 until the 2008 delimitation.
Khajaguda Lake, also known as Bhagirathamma Cheruvu or Nanakramguda lake is a lake in Ranga Reddy District in the Indian state of Telangana and on the western edge of the city of Hyderabad, in the suburb of Manikonda, in the middle of Makthakousarali, Khajaguda area.
Gori Kothapally, also known as Kothapallegori / Kothapallygori, is a village and a newly formed mandal. It was formerly a part of the erstwhile Regonda mandal in the Jayashankar Bhupalpally district which was carved out of Warangal district, within the Indian state of Telangana. The village falls under the Bhupalpalle Assembly constituency and is situated within the Warangal parliamentary constituency.
