Pappanamcode Lakshmanan was an Indian film scriptwriter, screen play writer and lyricist in Malayalam movies during the 1970s and 1980s. [1] He started his career with Indulekha in 1967. [2] He worked for around 100 Malayalam movies with the areas of his contribution including lyrics, script, story and dialogue. [3] [4]

It is a sequel to the 1966 film Kayamkulam Kochunni. The film stars Prem Nazir, Jayabharathi, Vidhubala, KP Ummer and MG Soman. The film has musical score by M. K. Arjunan.
