Yates Forsythe returns to his hometown in Mississippi with his psychiatrist wife Frances and their two children, only to uncover secrets that change the lives of everyone involved.

On June 11, 2019, it was announced that Josh Hartnett and Bridget Regan were to portray the lead characters of the show. [7] [8] [9] [10] In addition to Hartnett and Regan, actors Barbara Hershey, Nick Nolte, Gail Bean, Danielle Deadwyler and Shane McRae were cast in supporting roles. [11] [12] [13] [14] On December 16, 2019, it was announced that Matt Battaglia will appear in the series. [15]

Josh Bell of CBR gave the series a negative review and wrote, "The details of the mysteries in Spectrum's Paradise Lost are mostly unclear and the dialogue is full of portentous-sounding nonsense." [18]
Nicholas King Nolte is an American actor and former model. Known for his leading man roles in both dramas and romances, he has received a Golden Globe Award as well as nominations for three Academy Awards and a Primetime Emmy Award. Nolte first came to prominence for his role in the ABC miniseries Rich Man, Poor Man (1976) for which he received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie nomination. Hartnett had starring roles in the war film Pearl Harbor, the drama O, the war film Black Hawk Down, and the romantic comedy 40 Days and 40 Nights (2002).
