Paris College of Art, is an international college of art and design with U.S degree-granting authority and accreditation from the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) located in Paris, France. [1] PCA's mission is to provide the highest standard of art and design education, taught within an American pedagogical paradigm, while being influenced and informed by their French and European environment. [2]

History

In 1981, the school was established as a French Association (type 1901) under the name “École Parsons à Paris”. Until 2010, the school had a relationship with Parsons School of Design, and was known as "Parsons Paris". [3] Its association with Parsons ended in 2010, and it became an independent institution and changed its name to Paris College of Art. [4] PCA has 300 students and 100 faculty members from more than 50 different countries.

PCA has accreditation from the United States National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD) and is part of the International Association of Universities and Colleges of Art, Design and Media (CUMULUS). It is also recognized by the Rectorat de Paris as an establishment of higher education. Its partnerships include agreements and research with the Centre de Recherche du Château de Versailles, Pantheon-Sorbonne University, the Centre Georges Pompidou, Les Arts Décoratifs, and La Maison Lesage. Degree courses are taught in English. [5]

PCA offers summer courses in art, art history, design, culture, and language city of Paris. Levels include pre-college, college, and adult options. Students are encouraged to draw on Paris' cultural heritage for inspiration, and are often taken on trips around the city during classes.

The New England School of Art and Design at Suffolk University is a school of fine arts and design located in Boston, Massachusetts. A Bachelor of Design degree is usually an undergraduate academic degree in the field of design awarded for a course or major that generally lasts three or four years. It is the undergraduate equivalent of the Master of Design, MDes. Bachelor of Design degrees have been popular in Canada and Australia for several decades and are becoming increasingly popular in the United States as discipline-specific design education expands and becomes more specialized. There are several variants of the Bachelor of Design degree, including the Bachelor of Design Arts and the Bachelor of Design Studies.

Parsons Paris is a degree-granting school of art and design in the 1st arrondissement of Paris, France. It is the European branch campus of Parsons School of Design and part of The New School, a comprehensive university in New York City.

NIU College of Visual and Performing Arts is composed of three schools. The college also administers several university programs including, the NIU Art Museum, the NIU Community School of Arts, and NIU Huskie Marching Band.
