Parke Heritage High School is a public high school in Rockville, Indiana that opened in the 2018-19 School Year as a result of the consolidation of former North Central Parke County, Indiana high schools, Rockville and Turkey Run.
Parke Heritage High School [2] was created from the consolidation of former high schools in North Central Parke County, Indiana, Rockville, and Turkey Run.
The school's fight song was composed by Ashley Brown, who taught at Parke Heritage for two years. She combined elements of the two schools' songs plus other elements. [3]
Parke Heritage High School uses the campus of the former Rockville Junior-Senior High School. There is a football field located on the school's campus. The baseball/softball fields are not on the school's campus. There is also a track around the football field that is used on multiple occasions.
The Parke Heritage Wolves have a spell bowl team, a math bowl team, and many other academic teams. Their spell bowl team went to state on their inaugural year. Parke Heritage High also has a band and a choir, whose members participate in Solo and Ensemble annually. Parke Heritage is a member of the Rural Early College Network, offering dual-credit classes to students. [4]
The Parke Heritage Wolves compete in 9 varsity sports including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, football, golf, softball, track & field, tennis, and volleyball. The teams retained membership in Rockville and Turkey Run's athletic conference, the Wabash River Conference.
- In the 2020-2021 Boys Basketball season, the wolves were Class 2A runners up. Parke Heritage finished with a 27-4 record. [5]
The Mid-Indiana Conference, or MIC, was a high school athletic conference which was located in northcentral Indiana, USA. This conference served many high schools located in Cass, Hamilton, Howard, and Miami Counties. The conference dissolved at the end on the 2014-15 academic school year.

The Northern Indiana Conference (NIC) is a high school athletic conference that was founded in 1927 and spanned from as far west as Hammond and Gary to South Bend/Mishawaka and Elkhart to the east and south to Plymouth. Since its start in 1927, a total of 32 separate schools have at one time called the NIC home. From its inception until 1963, the conference had been divided into East and West divisions. The West Division left to form the Northwestern Conference in 1963. With membership dwindling to 7 members by the 1970s, the conference added former members of the Northern Indiana Valley Conference to its ranks. Currently, every former NIVC member is now a part of the NIC except for South Bend Jackson, which closed in 1973, and South Bend LaSalle, which joined the NIC in 1977, but closed in 2001.
The Duneland Athletic Conference (DAC) is a high school athletic conference in Indiana serving eight members of the Indiana High School Athletic Association. Member schools are located in the counties of Lake, LaPorte, and Porter along Indiana's Lake Michigan shore. Each school is classified based on enrollment as 6A or 5A for football and 4A for basketball, the classes for the largest schools in Indiana. The Duneland Conference is also known for its gymnastics programs which have won a combined total of 35 state championship and state runner-up titles.
The Wabash River Conference is an eight-member Indiana High School Athletic Association (IHSAA)-sanctioned conference located within Fountain, Parke, Vermillion, and Warren Counties in West Central Indiana. All of the participating schools are either 1A, 2A, or 3A institutions in rural counties. The conference began in 1964 with nine schools who had outgrown their county conferences or had them fold, and has had that number stay relatively consistent since. The only change since was the consolidation of two members, Turkey Run and Rockville, into Parke Heritage High School in 2018 reducing the number of members to 8.
