Parkersburg South High School (also known as South) in Parkersburg, West Virginia, United States serves grades 9 through 12, and is part of the Wood County School District. The school's colors are navy blue and white (with a touch of scarlet), and the mascot is a Patriot. The school's principal is Maria Francisco. [2] As of the 2023-24 school year, the school has 1,384 students. The Wood County School District has 11,330 students in 24 schools. Feeder schools are Edison Middle School and Blennerhassett Middle School.
Parkersburg South High School offers a comprehensive curriculum with a wide range of courses, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, honors courses, and vocational programs. Students have the opportunity to take courses in subjects such as English, math, science, social studies, foreign languages, music, art, and physical education. The school also offers career and technical education programs in areas such as business, healthcare, and technology.
Athletics are also an integral part of Parkersburg South High School. The school offers a variety of sports programs, including football, basketball, baseball, softball, wrestling, track and field, tennis, and cross country.
As one of the largest high schools in the state of West Virginia, Parkersburg South lacked a home stadium for many sporting events until a community effort begun in August 1993. A local businessman and philanthropist contributed of 18 acres (73,000 m2) of land and $300,000. [3] The Erickson All-Sports Facility is managed by the EASF Development Corporation and is home to Parkersburg South football, soccer, tennis, and track.
The school offers a variety of clubs and organizations, including academic clubs, athletic teams, music and theater groups, and service organizations. Some of the popular clubs and organizations include the National Honor Society, Student Council, Future Farmers of America, and the Marching Band.

West Virginia University at Parkersburg, abbreviated WVUP and WVU Parkersburg, is a public community college in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Although it was originally part of West Virginia University, it is now an independent public institution with its own board of governors and degree-granting authority. Conceived as a community college to serve seven counties in west central West Virginia, it now offers baccalaureate programs. It is the largest community college in West Virginia and the state's fifth largest public college with over 3,900 students.

Peekskill High School, established in 1929, is located at 1072 Elm Street in Peekskill, New York, United States. It educates most of the district's ninth, tenth, eleventh, and twelfth graders. The school's current principal is Dr. Jenna Ferris. Peekskill students prepare for the New York State Regents Exams in science, language, mathematics, history and English. In addition to the Regents curriculum, the high school also offers Advanced Placement courses, which prepare students to take the AP Exams offered by the College Board in early May. A new course at the school as of the 2007–2008 school year is the three-year Authentic Science Research program. Several college courses are also offered.
Sullivan South High School was a public high school located in Kingsport, Tennessee, in Sullivan County with a student body of just under nine hundred students. The school was formed in 1980 and closed in 2021, when the building was converted to Sullivan Heights Middle School and its students were reapportioned to West Ridge High School. Greg Harvey served as principal of Sullivan South between 2003 and 2017, leading the school for 14 years all together. Josh Tate, formerly an assistant principal at Sullivan South High School, served as principal from 2017 until the school's closing. The school was accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and was a member of the TSSAA. With a graduation rate of 98%, it was well above the state median for high school completion.
Clarke County High School is a public high school in Berryville, Virginia. CCHS was ranked 19th on Newsweek's Top 1200 High Schools list in 2006. This used a metric based on the amount of Advanced Placement and International Baccalaureate tests taken by all the students in 2005 divided by the amount of graduating seniors. Its courses cover a wide spectrum of advanced levels including the International Baccalaureate program; dual-enrollment courses with Laurel Ridge Community College and AP courses.
