Party in the Park is the generic name given to music concerts organised by various radio stations and local authorities and groups in the United Kingdom, typically in large parks during the summer, however it is also used to refer to a family oriented event where people can literally have a Party in the Park.
Party in the Park Nanaimo [1] is in the third iteration. 2018's event is headlining Madeline Merlo, JJ Shiplett and Andrew Hyatt. The inaugural Party In The Park headlined Monster Truck, One Bad Son and Girls Guns and Glory. Party In The Park Nanaimo 2017 headlined Aaron Pirchett, Lion Bear Fox and EagleEyes. The annual outdoor music festival that occurs in Nanaimo, British Columbia every June is held on the 37,000-square-metre (400,000 sq ft) Beban Sports Fields.
Party in the Park, Leeds was an annual free event, held in Leeds on the grounds of Temple Newsam by Leeds City Council and 96.3 Radio Aire. [2] [3] It took place each year the day after Opera in the Park at the same location and attracted around 70,000 people. [4]
The event started in 1994 and was headlined by Bad Boys Inc and included performances by E.Y.C. [5]
In 2011, tickets for Party in the park were prioritised for people with a Leeds postcode since it was an event held by Leeds City Council and also had overwhelming demand for tickets from all over West Yorkshire. [6]
It was decided in 2013 by Leeds City Council that the tickets would no longer be free due to budget restrictions. Instead, they would be priced at up to £10 each. [7]
Finally in 2014, Leeds City Council and 96.3 Radio Aire announced that Party in the Park would be cancelled due to a lack of funds. The concert has not returned since. [8]

Party in the Park was a fundraiser event for the Prince's Trust, but was cancelled in 2005 due to the Live 8 concerts, when the Prince's Trust received £1.6 million in compensation from the Live 8 text message hotline.

T in the Park festival was a major Scottish music festival that was held annually from 1994 to 2016. It was named after its main sponsor, Tennents. The event was held at Strathclyde Park, Lanarkshire, until 1996. It then moved to the disused Balado airfield, Perth and Kinross, from 1997 to 2014. In 2015 the festival moved to Strathallan Castle. It was originally held over two days, and extended to three days from 2007. In 2016 the daily capacity was 70,000.

Bingley Music Live was an annual music festival held in Myrtle Park, Bingley, West Yorkshire, England. The festival featured a range of musical genres including rock, alternative rock, indie rock and pop music. Organised by City of Bradford Council, it was held on the Saturday and Sunday and since the 2009 event, also on the Friday at the end of August, with one of the days having free admission. First held in 2007, it was shortlisted in the ‘Best New Festival’ category of the Virtual Festival Awards. The ethos of the event was to present high quality music at an affordable price and give a platform for local bands from across West Yorkshire to a large audience.
Slam Dunk Records or Slam Dunk Music is a British independent record label, promoter and concert organising company, founded in Leeds, England, in 2007. Some notable signees include You Me at Six and Decade. The label evolved from "Slam Dunk", a weekly club night held at the city's Cockpit music venue, centered on emo, punk, ska and metal music. They have organised and promoted concerts for Leeds venues such as the Key Club, Leeds University Stylus, Leeds Beckett University Student Union and the First Direct Arena, as well as venues in other cities such as The Dome Leisure Centre, National Exhibition Centre and Hatfield Forum.

Opera in the Park was an annual large-scale open-air concert in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It is held in the grounds of the Jacobean mansion Temple Newsam, and is followed the next day by Party in the Park, a pop concert, thus making double use of the work and expense involved in setting up the venue. It was said to be the largest free classical concert in the UK, but a charge for tickets was introduced in 2011 as a result of "extreme budget pressures" on the council. The programme comprises solos, chorus works and orchestral pieces from opera, and the concert usually ends with an encore of "Nessun Dorma", the aria popularised by its use as theme tune for the 1990 FIFA World Cup.
Radio 2 in the Park is a British music festival organised by BBC Radio 2. It took place from 2011 to 2019 in Hyde Park in London and in 2017, the attendance was 45,000. Following two cancelled years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in June 2022, the corporation announced that the festival would be moving away from London, with the 2022 festival set to be held over two days at Temple Newsam Park in Leeds however, it was cancelled following the death of Elizabeth II. The festival returned in 2023 as Radio 2 in the Park live from Leicester. In April 2024 it was announced that the event would take place in Preston, Lancashire.
Longitude Festival is a music festival that takes place during July every year in Dublin, Ireland. Since 2013, Marlay Park has been home to the festival. It is organised by MCD Productions and Festival Republic.

Greatest Hits Radio Yorkshire is a radio station regional sub-network serving Yorkshire, Lincolnshire & the North Midlands as part of Bauer’s Greatest Hits Radio network. Whilst all programming is shared either across the region, or nationally, the local areas which were formerly separate stations retain local identities, with local news, travel updates, weather forecasts and advertising. It is not possible therefore to listen to a station branded "Greatest Hits Radio Yorkshire".
