Pasaka Cinema (Lithuanian : Pasakos kino teatras) is an Art Deco style former cinema in Kaunas, Lithuania. [1] At that time of the opening, the cinema was amongst the most modern in Kaunas. [2]

Kipras Petrauskas was a Lithuanian operatic tenor, professor, and Lithuanian Association of Artists member. The national opera foundation is associated with him. He was married to Elena Žalinkevičaitė-Petrauskienė. In 1942, he was asked to hide a Jewish baby girl, Dana Pomeranz, which he and his wife agreed to do. To hide the girl better, he and his wife left the city, moving first to a Lithuanian village, and later to Austria and then Germany. In 1947, they came back to Lithuania, found Dana's parents, and gave her back to them.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Romuva Cinema</span> Movie theater in Kaunas, Lithuania

Romuva Cinema is the oldest still operational movie theater in Lithuania. The building was designed by the architect Nikolajus Mačiulskis and was completed on April 13, 1940. In 2015, the building was one of 44 objects in Kaunas to receive the European Heritage Label. The building was reconstructed in 2016–2021, however authentic details from the 1940s have also been preserved.

Owl Mountain is a 2017 Lithuanian historical drama feature film directed by Audrius Juzėnas. The film portrays political and historical events between 1947-1953 in Lithuania, when the Lithuanian population conducted guerrilla warfare against the Soviet authorities that occupied the country in an attempt to gain independence. The Soviet authorities reacted to the Lithuanian partisans by arresting and deporting several to Siberia, whilst killing others.
