Pascal Jolyot (born 26 July 1958) is a French fencer. He won a gold medal in the team foil and a silver in the individual foil events at the 1980 Summer Olympics. He won a bronze medal in the team foil event at the 1984 Summer Olympics. [1] [2]

The competition was held from 22 to 23 July 1980. 37 fencers from 16 nations competed. Nations had been limited to three fencers each since 1928. The event was won by Vladimir Smirnov of the Soviet Union, the nation's first victory in the men's foil since 1960 and second overall. His countryman Alexandr Romankov took bronze, becoming the eighth man to win multiple medals in the event. It was the first time in five Games that France did not receive the bronze medal—though Pascal Jolyot earned silver instead.

The silver medal went to Matthias Behr, West Germany's first medal in the event and the first medal for any German athlete since 1928. France's five-Games podium streak ended.
Shlomo "Shlomi" Eyal was an Israeli fencer. He competed in the individual foil event at the 1984 Summer Olympics at the age of 25. In Round 1 he went 3-1, defeating Julito Francis from the Virgin Islands, Haluk Yamaç of Turkey, and Stefano Cerioni of Italy. In the quarterfinals he went 2-2, defeating Edgardo Díaz of Puerto Rico and former silver medalist Pascal Jolyot of France. In the semifinals he was eliminated after going 1-4, with his sole victory coming against José Rafael Magallanes of Venezuela.

Borella won European Championships in 1981 and 1983, as well as three World Cups. He is married to Francesca Bortolozzi, who was also an Olympic fencing champion for Italy.
