Pasi Saapunki (born 24 February 1968) was a Finnish nordic combined skier who competed from 1988 to 1992. At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, he finished seventh in the 3 x 10 km team and 15th in the 15 km individual events. Saapunki also finished seventh in the 3 x 10 km team event at the 1992 Winter Olympics in Albertville.
Sappunki also competed in the 3 x 10 team event at the 1991 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Val di Fiemme. His best World Cup finish was eighth in a 15 km individual event in Finland in 1990.

Magdalena "Magda" Forsberg is a Swedish former cross-country skier and biathlete. She was the dominating female biathlete from 1997 to 2002, when she retired, winning the Biathlon World Cup for six years straight. She is also a six-times world champion, a two-times Olympic bronze medalist, and holds the record for the most World Cup victories in women's biathlon.

Noriaki Kasai is a Japanese ski jumper. His career achievements include a gold medal at the 1992 Ski Flying World Championships, winning the 1999 Nordic Tournament, individual silver medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and two individual bronze medals at the 2003 Ski Jumping World Championships.
Anssi Einar Koivuranta is a retired Finnish ski jumper and former Nordic combined skier, best known for winning the 2008–09 FIS Nordic Combined World Cup. He won the gold medal in the 4 × 5 km team event and a bronze medal in the 15 km Gundersen race at the 2007 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo. After winning a Ski Jumping World Cup competition in Innsbruck on 4 January 2014, Koivuranta became the first ever athlete in history of ski jumping to win an event in both Nordic combined and the ski jumping World Cup.
Trond-Arne Bredesen is a Norwegian nordic combined from 1986 to 1991, representing Gran IL in Hadeland. He won four medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with one gold, two silvers, and one bronze. Bredesen finished third originally in the 15 km individual event at the 1987 championships, but moved up to second following the doping disqualification of American Kerry Lynch.
Janne Pekka Ryynänen is a Finnish Nordic combined athlete who has been competing since 2003. His ski club is Ounasvaaran hiihtoseura. One of his greatest achievements include a gold medal from 4 x 5 km team competition at Sapporo 2007, where he had the longest jump of the Finnish team. Ryynänen best individual finish was fourth in the 10 km individual large hill event at Liberec in 2009.
Jan Matura is a Czech former nordic skier competing from 1999 to 2001 and a former ski jumper competing from 2002 to 2017.
Uwe Prenzel is an East German-German nordic combined skier who competed from 1987 to 1992. At the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, he finished fourth in the 15 km individual and fifth in the 3 x 10 km team event.
Jouko Antero Parviainen was a Finnish nordic combined skier who competed from 1985 to 1988. He finished seventh in the 3 x 10 km team event at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.

Topi Saraparanta was a Finnish nordic combined skier who competed from 1993 to 1998. He finished eighth in the 3 x 10 km team event at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer.
Akito Watabe is a Japanese nordic combined skier who has been competing since 2005. He won a gold medal in the 4 × 5 km team event at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2009 in Liberec.
The men's team large hill/4 x 5 km Nordic combined competition for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada was held at Whistler Olympic Park in Whistler, British Columbia on 23 February. The Austrian team of Michael Gruber, Christoph Bieler, Felix Gottwald, and Mario Stecher were the defending Olympic champions. Gruber retired after the 2007-08 season. Gottwald originally retired after the 2006-07 World Cup season, but came out of retirement in May 2009 to compete for the 2009-10 World Cup season including the 2010 Games. The defending world champions were the Japanese team of Yūsuke Minato, Taihei Kato, Akito Watabe, and Norihito Kobayashi. The last World Cup event prior to the 2010 Games in this format took place on 12 December 2009 in Harrachov, Czech Republic, but that event was cancelled on 4 December 2009 to warm weather and lack of snow. A team normal hill event took place prior to the 2010 Winter Games in Schonach, Germany on 24 January 2010 and was won by the German team of Georg Hettich, Eric Frenzel, Björn Kircheisen, and Tino Edelmann.
Alex Harvey is a retired Canadian cross-country skier who competed between 2005 and 2019. Harvey is also a member of the Quebec Provincial Cycling Team.
Armin Bauer is an Italian Nordic combined skier who has competed since 2005. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, he finished tenth in the 4 x 5 km team, 21st in the 10 km individual large hill, and 43rd in the 10 km individual large hill events.
