Test cricket is a form of first-class cricket played at international level between teams representing full member countries of the International Cricket Council (ICC). A match consists of four innings and is scheduled to last for up to five days. In the past,some Test matches had no time limit and were called Timeless Tests. The term "test match" was originally coined in 1861–62 but in a different context.
The New Zealand national cricket team represents New Zealand in men's international cricket. Nicknamed the Black Caps,they played their first Test in 1930 against England in Christchurch,becoming the fifth country to play Test cricket. From 1930 New Zealand had to wait until 1956,more than 26 years,for its first Test victory,against the West Indies at Eden Park in Auckland. They played their first ODI in the 1972–73 season against Pakistan in Christchurch. New Zealand are the inaugural champions of WTC which they won in 2021 and they have also won ICC CT in 2000. They have played in the CWC final twice and the T20 WC final once.
Charles Bannerman was an English-born Australian cricketer. A right-handed batsman,he represented Australia in three Test matches between 1877 and 1879. At the domestic level,he played for the New South Wales cricket team. Later,he became an umpire.

Women's Test cricket is the longest format of women's cricket and is the female equivalent to men's Test cricket. Matches comprise four-innings and are held over a maximum of four days between two of the leading cricketing nations. The rules governing the format differ little from those for the men's game,with differences generally being technicalities surrounding umpiring and field size.
Hanif Mohammad PP was a Pakistani cricketer. He played for the Pakistani cricket team in 55 Test matches between the 1952–53 season and the 1969–70 season. He averaged 43.98,scoring twelve centuries. At his peak,he was considered one of the best batsmen in the world despite playing at a time when Pakistan played very little Test cricket;Hanif played just 55 Test matches in a career spanning 17 years. In his obituary by ESPNcricinfo,he was honoured as the original Little Master,a title later assumed by Sunil Gavaskar and Sachin Tendulkar. He was the first Pakistani to score a triple hundred in a Test match.
The England women's cricket team represents England and Wales in international women's cricket. Since 1998,they have been governed by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB),having been previously governed by the Women's Cricket Association. England is a Full Member of the International Cricket Council,with Test,One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International (T20I) status. They are currently captained by Heather Knight and coached by Jon Lewis.
Paul Ronald Reiffel is an Australian former cricketer who played in 35 Tests and 92 One Day Internationals (ODIs) from 1992 to 1999. He was part of Australia's victorious 1999 World Cup team. After retirement he became a first-class cricket umpire. He is currently a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires.

She played domestic cricket in England for East Anglia,Kent,Hampshire and Southern Vipers,as well as overseas for Northern Districts,Western Australia,Perth Scorchers,South Australia and Adelaide Strikers.
Deshabandu Handunnettige Deepthi Priyantha Kumar Dharmasena is a Sri Lankan cricket umpire and former international cricketer. He is a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires and the first person to participate in an ICC Cricket World Cup final both as a player and an umpire;he was a member of the Sri Lankan side that won the 1996 Cricket World Cup. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off break bowler.
Nadine Andrea Julietta George MBE is a Jamaican former cricketer who played as a left-handed batter and wicket-keeper. She appeared in 1 Test match,41 One Day Internationals and 3 Twenty20 Internationals for the West Indies between 2003 and 2008. She was the first West Indian woman cricketer to score a hundred in a Test match,scoring 118 on Test debut against Pakistan in Karachi in the third innings of the only Test on the tour. George was awarded an MBE for her contributions to sport. She played domestic cricket for Saint Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago.

Alan Lloyd Thomson was an Australian cricketer,Australian rules football umpire and school teacher. Thomson,who "bowled off his front leg like a frog in a windmill" played in four Tests and one ODI in the 1970–71 season.
The West Indies cricket team toured New Zealand from 6 February 1980 to 5 March 1980,playing 3 Tests and 1 One Day Internationals against New Zealand. The West Indies were coming after their first test series win on Australian soil. However,Vivian Richards who scored 400 runs in the Australian tour returned home with a sore back. As a result,New Zealand won the test series 1-0 as well as the only ODI by 1 wicket.
Cri-Zelda Brits,also written Crizelda Brits and Cri-zelda Brits is a South African cricketer. A right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler,Brits was originally called up to the South Africa national women's cricket team as an opening bowler in 2002. She developed into an all-rounder,and since 2005 has established herself as a specialist batsman. She captained South Africa in 23 matches in 2007 and 2008,but was replaced as captain in 2009 in order to "concentrate entirely on her own performance." She was reappointed as captain for the 2010 ICC Women's World Twenty20. Between 2007 and 2011 she captain South Africa a total of 36 times.
Katey Jane Martin is a New Zealand cricket commentator and former cricketer who played as a wicket-keeper and right-handed batter. She appeared in one Test match,103 One Day Internationals and 95 Twenty20 Internationals for New Zealand between 2003 and 2022. She played domestic cricket for Otago and Melbourne Stars.
An Australian team toured New Zealand and Fiji from February to April 1905 to play four first-class matches including two against New Zealand,which had not then attained Test status. Although it was the fifth Australian team to tour New Zealand,it was the first one to play matches on even terms,which therefore have first-class status. On previous tours all matches had been against teams of 15,18 or 22 players. As well as the two matches against New Zealand,the Australians played first-class matches against Canterbury and Otago. The other games were non-first-class against Auckland,Wellington and Fiji.
