Pathosray is a progressive metal band based in Italy that formed in 2000. The band has released two demos and two full-length studio album as of 2009.
Pathosray is an Italian progressive metal band founded in 2000, originally called N.D.E., by Ivan Monibidin (drums), Luca Luison (guitars), and Marco Sandron (vocals).
Their first demo, Strange Kind of Energy, was released in 2002 under their new name, Pathosray.
In 2006, the band's line-up changed; with Fabio D'Amore on bass and Gianpaolo Rinaldi on keyboards, the band published their second demo, Deathless Crescendo.
Their self-titled debut album, Pathosray, was made with new guitarist Alessio Velliscig and picked up by Intromental Management in Denmark. This led to a deal with the American-based record company Sensory Records, which released the album during the last quarter of 2007. In the January 2008 issue of renowned Dutch metal magazine Aardschok, the album received positive praise. [1]
In May 2009, they released their second album, Sunless Skies.

Angra is a Brazilian heavy metal band formed in 1991 that has gone through some line-up changes since its foundation. They have released nine regular studio albums, five EPs, and three live CD/DVDs to date. Led by Rafael Bittencourt, the band has gained a degree of popularity in Japan and Europe.
Heavenly is a power metal band based in Marseille, France, that was formed in 1993 in Paris by vocalist Benjamin Sotto and drummer Max Pilo, originally as a cover band under the name of Satan's Lawyer. In 1994, they changed their name to "Heavenly" and evolved into a full-fledged Helloween-influenced power metal outfit. In 1998, they released a three-track demo with new guitarist Anthony Parker. However, Parker's time with the band was to be short lived, leaving before a record deal with Noise Records was clinched. Heavenly then found a replacement in Chris Savourey and completed their lineup with bassist Laurent Jean.
Vision Divine is an Italian power/progressive metal band formed in 1998.
Goblin is an Italian progressive rock band known for their soundtrack work. They frequently collaborate with Dario Argento, most notably creating soundtracks for Profondo Rosso in 1975 and Suspiria in 1977. CD re-releases of their soundtracks have performed well, especially in Germany and Japan. Goblin returned with a series of live concerts in Europe in 2009 and in North America in 2013.

Hortus Animae is a progressive black metal band from Northern and Central Italy. They formed in 1997 in the town of Rimini (Romagna). After the release of their self-produced debut The Melting Idols, they began an active live streak with bands like Lacuna Coil, Ancient and Napalm Death. Upon opening for the cult Norwegian black metal band Ancient in Padova (Italy), the band developed a friendship with their drummer Grom, who soon after joined the band out of admiration for their work and made it his primary side-project. At this point the band began the recording process of their 2nd album and 1st official release Waltzing Mephisto which had been years in the writing. The album was recorded at the well known Italian metal studios Fear. Following the recording, the band signed deal with Greek label Black Lotus Records in October 2002 and subsequently with Sleaszy Rider Records (EMI) for their 3rd and most evolved concept-album The Blow Of Furious Winds in May 2005.
Alphataurus is an Italian progressive rock band from the Milan area. Under the original lineup Alphataurus released only one album, Alphataurus, dated 1973, at the peak of the European progressive rock wave. The album was generally well received and work on a second album started, but due to “a string of personal events” the band split up in 1973.

Steel Seal is an Italian Neoclassical Power Metal band formed in 2003 by guitar player and main songwriter, Marco Valerio Zangani, and vocalist Bruno Baudo, bassist Roberto Fasciani and the keyboardist Adriano Rossi. They produced their first demo in 2003, entitled Demo 2003, with computer-generated drums, which led to a recording contract with Italian label Underground Symphony in 2004. Internal band problems resulted in the departure of Baudo and Fasciani, and the arrival of Andrea Orciuolo, Fabio Bernardi, Luca Iovieno. With a hole in the vocalist spot, the band recruited world-renowned singer D.C. Cooper as a session vocalist and By the Power of Thunder was released in Japan in December 2006 and worldwide in 2007. In 2008, original members Fasciani and Rossi replaced Orciuolo and Bernardi and this time around, Thomas Vikstrom handled vocal duties for the follow-up album, recording them in Argentina in January 2009. On one song, Vikstrom sings a duet with Italian vocalist Val Shieldon, who also is credited for the backing vocals on many tracks. Redemption Denied was released worldwide by Underground Symphony in 2010. With the same line-up, and the Italian vocalist Fabio Lione as a special guest, the band started to work on the following album. After a long and troubled preparation, The Lion's Den was released worldwide in 2017: besides Lione, other guests are guitarist Lorenzo Milone, as for the previous album, and Andrea De Paoli on the keyboards. The album enhanced the Neoclassical influences of the band reproposing at the same time their typical mixture of Power Metal and Hard Rock with lyrics often deriving from verses of famous British and American poets. Subsequently, the same musicians, including Lione as a session vocalist again, recorded the still unreleased Fireraiser, completed in 2020 at the Outer Sound Studios in Rome, like its three predecessors. On one song, Lione sings a duet with Italian vocalist Andrea Marchisio ; other guests are Milone, as usual, and Val Shieldon again, who sings a cover of Lost and Lonely Days by Warlord. The release of the album is about to be scheduled by Underground Symphony.
Ayreonauts Only is the first compilation album by Dutch progressive metal project Ayreon by Arjen Anthony Lucassen, released in 2000. Although categorized as a compilation album, it consists only of previously unreleased material, with alternate versions of Ayreon songs with different singers, demos, and of the song "Cold Metal" from Lucassen's then-upcoming project Ambeon.
Momentum is the eight full-length studio album of Italian progressive metal band DGM. This is the second album with this line-up and it was released on March 26, 2013 for the last time by Italian label Scarlet Records. The album was produced by band guitarist Simone Mularoni.
