Patience Madu Ndidi (born 19 August 1988) is an international football referee from Nigeria. [1] She has officiated at major international tournaments, including the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, [2] [3] 2022 Africa Women's Cup of Nations (AWCON), [4] and multiple editions of the CAF Women's Champions League. [5] [6]
Madu became the first Nigerian referee to use the VAR system at a Women's AFCON match in 2022. [7] She also officiated at the 2021 CAF Women's Champions League [8] and was part of the 2024 FIFA international duty list for Nigerian referees. [9] [10] In addition to her international roles, Madu is the Training Officer for the Enugu State Referees Council [7] and has officiated in top domestic competitions including the Aiteo Cup Final.
