Patrick Casey (born May 23, 1990) is an American middle-distance runner. He ran his first four-minute mile on February 4, 2011. [1] [2] He attended Montana State University [2] before transferring to the University of Oklahoma. [3]
One of the NCAA's top milers and 1500m runners, Casey ran a 4:04:44 mile his freshman year, which equates to 3:59.19 after NCAA's altitude-adjustment formula because [Bozeman, Montana] has a 4,800-foot elevation. [2] He ran the first four-minute mile in Montana without altitude-adjustment on February 4, 2011 at 3:59.76. [15] [16] He transferred from Montana State University to the University of Oklahoma in 2012. [3] [17]
Casey ran second in the 1500 m race at the USA Track & Field Championships. [18]
In 2015, Casey holds the record for the fastest mile run at Montana State University, with a time of 3:54.59. [19]
Casey attended Laurel High School (Montana), coached by head coaches James Haskins and Lisa Condon. [15] In his senior year, he won the 800m, 1600m, and 3200m in the state championships. [2] He set the state high school mile record of 4:07:09. [20]

Treniere Moser (born Treniere Clement October 27, 1981 in Stow, Ohio is an American track and field athlete specializing in middle distance races. She is a five-time outdoor champion at 1500 metres, along with a 2006 indoor championship. As national champion, she represented the USA at the 2005 and 2007 World Championships, neither time making the final. At the 2006 IAAF World Cup, she finished eighth and the 2006 World Indoor Championships she finished seventh.
Garrett Heath is an American runner from Winona, Minnesota, who raced in various middle and long-distance running events. He represented the United States at the 2010 World Indoor Championships where he finished seventh in the 1500 meters. He is the elder brother of Elliott Heath.
Gabriele Ivy Grunewald was an American professional middle-distance runner who competed in distances from 800 meters to 5000 meters. She represented the United States at the 2014 IAAF World Indoor Championships and finished in ninth place in the 3000 meters. Grunewald was the national champion in the 3000 meters at the 2014 USA Indoor Track and Field Championships.
Alexa Efraimson is an American professional middle distance runner from Camas, Washington who competes for Nike. During the 2014 indoor and outdoor season, as a junior, she set a pair of U.S. high-school records, breaking Mary Cain's 2013 mark in the indoor 3,000 meters (9:02.10) with a time of 9:00.16 and running 4:33.29 in the 1,600 meters to shave 0.53 seconds from Christine Babcock's 4:33.82, set in 2008. Efraimson captured the bronze medal in the 1,500 meters at the 2013 World (U18) Youth Championships in Donetsk, Ukraine.
Tracy Evans Smith is a former American distance runner. He was a member of the 1968 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Team, competing in the 10,000 meters. He was ranked multiple times by Track & Field News as the No. 1 U.S. 5,000- and 10,000-meter runner in the mid- to late ‘60s, and was a six-time AAU National Champion from 1966 to 1973, winning outdoors in the 3-mile, 6-mile and 10,000 meters, and three times in the indoor 3-mile. He was a three-time world record holder in the indoor 3-mile.
Cristian Soratos is a Mexican American professional middle-distance runner. Born in Salinas, California, he first took up competitive running at Salinas High School. He then ran at Hartnell College where he eventually became All-State, after which he was recruited to Montana State University. After running several races at high altitude, Soratos ran his first sub-4 minute mile in 2015, and went on to emerge as one of the fastest collegiate runners in the United States, with the best socks too #sonic. On June 25, 2015, he became a professional runner when he signed a contract to be sponsored by Adidas.
Clayton Murphy is an American middle-distance runner. He won the bronze medal in the 800-meter run at the 2016 Olympic Games. He was the gold medalist in the 800-meter run at the 2015 Pan American Games. He ran collegiately for the University of Akron, before signing with Nike in June 2016 and joining the Nike Oregon Project.

Raevyn Rogers is an American middle-distance athlete who ran on the University of Oregon Ducks women's track and field team till 2017, when she went professional after a stellar junior year season in which she won her third straight title over 800 meters outdoors.
From Houston, Texas, she produced a collegiate record at 800 meters in her third and final year with the Ducks, setting a time of 1:59.10 that smashed a 27-year-old record. Her best for the event is 1:57.69 (2018), ranking her 9th fastest in U.S. history.
