Patrick O'Shaughnessy (born 29 January 1993) is a Finnish footballer who plays as a defender for Finnish club HPS.
O'Shaughnessy was born in Riihimäki on 29 January 1993, the son of a Finnish mother and Irish father (Robert, a painter from Galway). [1] He holds both Finnish and Irish citizenship. [2] His younger brother Daniel is also a footballer who plays for HJK and the Finland national team.
O'Shaughnessy made his Veikkausliiga debut on 15 April 2012, appearing as a starter against TPS. After being released in winter 2013, he signed for Pallokerho-35 in April 2014. [3]
O'Shaughnessy has represented Finland at age-group level. In November 2013, he expressed an interest in playing for Ireland, stating that he felt "more Irish than Finnish". [4] He said, "I think maybe it has to do with my personality and it would make my father very proud if I played for Ireland." [4]
Jari Olavi Litmanen is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder or a second striker. He was the first-choice captain of the Finland national team between 1996 and 2008 in an international career that ran from 1989 to 2010. Litmanen is widely considered to be Finland's greatest football player of all time. He was chosen as the best Finnish player of the last 50 years by the Football Association of Finland in the UEFA Jubilee Awards in November 2003. He also finished 42nd in the 100 Greatest Finns voting in 2004. The Association of Football Statisticians' compendium of 'Greatest Ever Footballers' listed Litmanen as the 53rd best footballer ever.

Soiri made his international debut for Finland in November 2017 and has since had over 30 caps. He appeared in 9 out of 10 of Finland's UEFA Euro 2020 qualification matches and thus helped Finland reach their first ever major tournament, the UEFA Euro 2020.
