Paul Daniel Brunton (born August 19,1944 in Negritos,Peru) [5] is an American politician and lawyer from Oklahoma.
He graduated from Cascia Hall Preparatory School in Tulsa,Oklahoma in 1962. [3]
Brunton participated in the Reserve Officers' Training Corps for two years while studying Asian history at the University of Oklahoma. He joined the Special Forces upon graduation in 1966. He served in the Vietnam War,and obtained early release to attend the University of Tulsa College of Law,from which he graduated in 1971. Brunton earned a master of laws degree from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1982.
Brunton then worked as a public defender in Tulsa County between 1972 and 1974. He was a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives from 1975 to 1981,succeeding Frank Keating. Since stepping down from the state legislature,he has run a private legal practice in Tulsa. [4] [6]
From 2006 to 2008,he served as a member of the Oklahoma Sentencing Commission. [3]
He was married to Sheila R. Bryant from 1982 until her death in 2018. [1]
The University of Tulsa (TU) is a private research university in Tulsa,Oklahoma. It has a historic affiliation with the Presbyterian Church,although it is now nondenominational,and the campus architectural style is predominantly Collegiate Gothic. The school traces its origin to the Presbyterian School for Indian Girls,which was established in 1882 in Muskogee,Oklahoma,then a town in Indian Territory,and which evolved into an institution of higher education named Henry Kendall College by 1894. William Andrew Edmondson is an American lawyer and politician from the state of Oklahoma. A member of the Democratic Party,Edmondson served as the 16th Attorney General of Oklahoma from 1995 to 2011. Prior to his election as state attorney general,he served as district attorney for Muskogee County,Oklahoma,from 1983 to 1992. He was defeated twice in campaigns for U.S. Congress in Oklahoma's 2nd congressional district,where his father Ed Edmondson served from 1953 to 1973.

Phillip Neal "Phil" Butler is a retired United States Naval officer and pilot. He was the eighth-longest-held U.S. prisoner of war (POW) held in North Vietnam during the Vietnam War. Butler,who was forced to eject after a mid-air explosion on April 20,1965,was a prisoner of war in North Vietnam until his release as part of Operation Homecoming in 1973. Butler was one of the five POWs credited with establishing the tap code. The code enabled the prisoners to communicate with each other.
