Biography

Paul got his start as an engineer in the mid-1980s, engineering singles and albums for bands as varied as ABC, the Chameleons, Twelfth Night and the Heart Throbs. He landed his first big engineering gig in 1992, recording the single "China" for Tori Amos's debut album Little Earthquakes . In 1994, he produced his first full album, the second album Fake by Adorable. His engineering work on the Cure's tenth album Wild Mood Swings led to him producing the band's next album, Bloodflowers , released in 2000. After engineering Placebo's second album Without You I'm Nothing , in 1999 Corkett was invited to produce the band's third album Black Market Music . [1] The early 2000s saw him producing albums for small alternative British bands the Cooper Temple Clause, Biffy Clyro and Queenadreena. In 2012, he teamed up with Love Amongst Ruin frontman Steve Hewitt to engineer albums for French band Lys [2] and Italian band Spiral 69. [3] Corkett often works at Moles Studio in Bath, having recorded albums by Billy No Mates, Queenadreena, Dionysos, Fiction Plane and Love Amongst Ruin there. [4]

The Cure are an English rock band formed in 1978 in Crawley, West Sussex. Throughout numerous lineup changes since the band's formation, guitarist, lead vocalist, and songwriter Robert Smith has remained the only constant member, though bassist Simon Gallup has been present for all but about three years of the band's history. Their debut album, Three Imaginary Boys (1979), along with several early singles, placed the band at the forefront of the emerging post-punk and new wave movements that had sprung up in the United Kingdom. Placebo is a British alternative rock band, formed in London in 1994 by vocalist–guitarist Brian Molko and bassist–guitarist Stefan Olsdal. Drummer Robert Schultzberg joined in late 1994, but left in 1996 shortly after the release of the band's eponymous debut album due to conflicts with Molko, and was replaced the same year by Steve Hewitt. Molko was born in Belgium and Olsdal and Schultzberg in Sweden; remaining members Molko and Olsdal both grew up in Luxembourg before separately relocating to London and are both British citizens.

Electric Honey was founded in 1992 and is Glasgow Kelvin College's in-house record label run by Ken McCluskey, Douglas MacIntyre and formerly Alan Rankine along with students from the HNC/D Music Business course. The label celebrated its 25th year in 2017 with many events including the release of the debut album "Any Joy" from Scottish six-piece indie rock band; "Pronto Mama."

Lose Your Way is the second studio album by the British rock band Love Amongst Ruin. It was released by Ancient B Records on 29 June 2015 and has been described as "an album from an artist over the hump, head high to the future and all engines gunning".

Garth "GGGarth" Richardson is a Canadian record producer and music engineer. He is the son of music producer Jack Richardson, a pioneer of the music recording industry in the 1960s and 1970s. Garth Richardson has done music engineering work for the likes of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nickelback, and Mötley Crüe, and produced for Kittie, Biffy Clyro, Rage Against the Machine, Mudvayne, Melvins, Shihad, Kensington, and many others. He cofounded the Nimbus School of Recording Arts in Vancouver, British Columbia together with Bob Ezrin and Kevin Williams. The school was named after Richardson's father's production company, Nimbus 9, and offers courses in production, recording, and audio. Richardson has the nickname 'GGGarth' due to his mild stutter.

Moles was a live music and nightclub in Bath, Somerset. With a capacity of 220 people, it was known as a grassroots venue and hosted notable acts such as Oasis, Ed Sheeran, The Killers, Manic Street Preachers, Radiohead, The Cure, The Smiths, Whiteout, Blur, Pulp, Fatboy Slim, Bastille, King Crimson, Gabrielle, Eurythmics, Tears for Fears, George Ezra and Supergrass. The venue also had a recording studio, with Dummy, Lazer Guided Melodies, Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space, and Primary Colours being recorded here.
