Paul John (born 25 January 1970 in Pontypridd) is a Welsh rugby union coach and former player. [1] He won 10 caps for Wales. He is the son of Dennis John, former Wales head coach.

Paul John (born 25 January 1970 in Pontypridd) is a Welsh rugby union coach and former player. [1] He won 10 caps for Wales. He is the son of Dennis John, former Wales head coach.
A scrum-half, he played his club rugby for Cardiff RFC, and then Pontypridd RFC, where he was captain. John played for Llantwit Fardre Cardiff from 1986 until 1991. He won 10 Welsh caps, making his debut against Tonga in 1994. He retired as a player in 2005.
He was, until 2010, head coach at Pontypridd. [2] He was assistant coach of the club, [3] as well as a successful head coach of the Wales Sevens team, who won the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens. John was appointed backs coach for Cardiff Blues in January 2014.
Paul was a teacher of physical education (PE) at Bryn Celynnog Comprehensive School in Beddau, and Coedylan Comprehensive School in Cilfynydd before becoming a full-time coach within the Wales Rugby Union National Academy. [4]
He is now coaching the Hong Kong Sevens Team. In the 2018 Asian Games, Hong Kong won all their games in the competition including an upset victory over Japan by 14–0. Hong Kong became the first gold medal winners in the Asian Games Rugby Sevens under his guidance. [5]

Jenkins is Wales' highest ever points-scorer and is the fourth highest on the List of leading rugby union test point scorers. He was the first player to score 1,000 points in international matches.

Martyn Elwyn Williams, is a former Wales and British & Irish Lions international rugby union player. A flanker, he was Wales' most-capped forward with 100 caps until surpassed by Gethin Jenkins on 30 November 2013. He remains Wales most capped back row forward.
Dafydd Rhys James is a Welsh former rugby union footballer who played on the wing or in the centre. He toured with the British & Irish Lions in 2001. James was born in Mufulira, Zambia, but earned 48 caps for Wales and three for the British & Irish Lions. His clubs include; Kenfig Hill RFC, Llanelli, Bridgend, Pontypridd, Harlequins, Scarlets, Cardiff Blues, Sale Sharks and HKCC Rugby.
Tom Billups is an American former rugby union rugby player, who played for the USA Eagles as an international and Blackheath Rugby Club, Harlequin F.C., and Pontypridd RFC as a professional. After retiring as a player in 1999, he joined the staff of the United States national team and was the head coach from 2001 to 2006. In addition to coaching the Eagles, Billups managed the U.S. national sevens team program and coached the 2005 U.S. sevens team. In 2015 Billups was inducted into U.S. Rugby Hall of Fame, and was the first person to be inducted as both a player and coach. In 2018 Billups became the 14th recipient of the Craig Sweeney Award which was first award in 1979 in memory of former United States national team member and captain, Craig Sweeney. The Sweeney Award is presented to a former national team player who has contributed significantly to the game while displaying exemplary character on and off the field.

Thomas Patrick David is a Welsh former dual-code international rugby union and rugby league footballer who played in the 1970s and 1980s. He played representative rugby union (RU) for Wales and the British Lions and rugby league (RL) for Wales. He was selected for the 1974 British Lions tour to South Africa, and at the time played club rugby for Llanelli RFC. He also played for his home-town club Pontypridd RFC, and while at the club was part of the 1976 Grand Slam winning Wales team. In 1981 he switched codes to rugby league, representing Cardiff City Blue Dragons.
Lee Jarvis is a former international Welsh rugby union player who was known as a top points scorer with the boot. His career has been spent in both Wales and England including top level rugby in Wales and in the Celtic League, winning a number of trophies in both countries. He has represented Wales from school level to full international honours as well as being selected by the Barbarians. Despite being tipped as the "next best thing" during his early career and being a great points kicker Jarvis only earned one cap for Wales at full international level. After retiring from rugby union as a player, Jarvis took up coaching. He is currently head coach at Rhydyfelin RFC.
Lynn Howells is a Welsh rugby union coach, who until March 2018 was the head coach of the Romanian national team, haven been the manager of the national side for 10 months prior to his appointment. Howells, born in Maerdy in Rhondda Valleys, played flanker at his nearest club Tylorstown RFC, before playing for Penygraig RFC. There he was noticed by Pontypridd RFC, and represented one of the top clubs in Wales in 1971.
Kingsley Jones is a Welsh rugby union coach, currently in charge of the Canadian national team. A former Welsh international player, Jones has played and coached at various levels, from playing at the amateur level to the professional level in Wales and England. He since gone on to become a professional coach at club and international level.
Johnathan Edwards is a Welsh rugby union footballer. He currently plays his club rugby as a flanker for the Cardiff Rugby Club. In 2007, Edwards was selected as captain of the Wales Sevens squad.
Gareth Baber is a Welsh former rugby player and now a rugby union coach. He is best known for coaching and leading the Fiji sevens team to win their second gold medal in rugby sevens at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He coached Fiji to their fourth World Sevens Series title. He has won the most tournaments in the world series as coach for the Fiji Islands.

Daniel John Edward Harris born in Penygraig, is a Welsh former rugby union, and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1950s and 1960s. He played representative level rugby union (RU) for Wales, and at club level for Pontypridd RFC and Cardiff RFC, playing at Lock, i.e. number 4 or 5, and club level rugby league (RL) for Leigh.
