Tokoroa is the fifth-largest town in the Waikato region of the North Island of New Zealand and largest settlement in the South Waikato District. Located 30 km southwest of Rotorua, close to the foot of the Mamaku Ranges, it is midway between Taupo and Hamilton on State Highway 1.

Gavin Lyle Hill is a New Zealand former rugby union and rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s, and coached rugby union the 2000s. He resided in Wellington for 10-years before moving back to Auckland in 2008 to take a coaching position in the Air New Zealand Cup.

Bates made the traditional All Blacks route to the top with appearances for New Zealand Secondary Schools, New Zealand U-19 and the U-21s, during this time he played Rugby league and was good enough to be selected for the Warriors U-19s. He has only played one test so far for his nation.

Forest View High School is a state co-educational secondary school located on the western outskirts of Tokoroa, New Zealand. It opened in 1974 and serves students in years 9 to 13. It is one of two secondary schools at Tokoroa, the other being Tokoroa High School. Like many New Zealand state secondary schools of 1970s construction, the school was built to the S68 design, characterised by single-storey classroom blocks with concrete block walls, low-pitched roofs and internal open courtyards.
Matthew James Andrew Cooper is a former New Zealand international rugby union player. He made his All Black test debut against Ireland on 6 June 1992, setting a then-world record of 23 points on test debut, with the last of his eight caps coming on 3 July 1994 against France.

The 1993 New Zealand rugby union tour of Britain was a series of thirteen matches played by the New Zealand national rugby union team in England, Scotland and Wales from October to December 1993. Twelve of the matches took place in England or Scotland with only the final match against the Barbarians being played in Wales. New Zealand won twelve of their thirteen games, losing only the international match against England – they won the other international against Scotland
The 1981 New Zealand rugby union tour of Romania and France was a series of ten matches played by the New Zealand national rugby union team in Romania and France in October and November 1981. The All Blacks won eight of the ten games, including the international match against Romania and both internationals against France. The only team to defeat the All Blacks was a French regional selection, and the All Blacks were also held to a draw by another regional team.
Graham Herbert Purvis is a former New Zealand rugby union player. A prop, Purvis represented Thames Valley and Waikato at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, from 1989 to 1993. He played 28 matches for the All Blacks including two internationals.
Paul Lennart James Simonsson is a New Zealand former rugby union and rugby league player. A wing, Simonsson represented Waikato and Wellington in rugby union at a provincial level, and was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, on their 1987 tour of Japan. He played two matches for the All Blacks, scoring seven tries, but did not play any test matches.
William Michael Osborne is a former New Zealand rugby union player. A second five-eighth and centre, Osborne represented Wanganui and Waikato at a provincial level. Started his club career with the local Kaierau Rugby Union Club in Wanganui. He was a member of the New Zealand national side, the All Blacks, between 1975 and 1982, playing 48 matches including 16 internationals.
James Tucker is a New Zealand rugby union player who currently plays as a lock or loose forward for Waikato in New Zealand's domestic Mitre 10 Cup.
Jordan Trainor is a New Zealand rugby union player who currently plays as an fullback for the LA Giltinis in Major League Rugby (MLR). He previously played as an outside back for the Blues in the international Super Rugby competition.
