Paul Manuel (born 30 December 1967 in Delft) is a sailor from the Netherlands [1] who represented his country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. [2] Manuel, as crew in the Dutch Tornado [3] with Ron van Teylingen as helmsman, [4] took 6th place. [5]
Paul studied commercial engineering at the Haagse Hogeschool. In 1995 he and his brother Bart Manuel founded TamTam, a full-service digital agency that aims to, “create awesome digital experiences that make people smile”.[ citation needed ]
TamTam grew steadily along with the digital market up until 2007, when it reformulated its ambitions and set out to become one of the top three digital agencies in The Netherlands. It did so in 2012[ citation needed ] and then aimed to expand its activities internationally.
In the following years TamTam acquired several international clients. In 2015 it entered a new phase in this process by closing a deal with Waterland, a private equity firm that was looking for a digital agency to invest in. TamTam became the launching platform for a buy-and-build strategy. The deal opened up many possibilities and soon deals were made with other companies that added their specialism to the digital mix.
In 2016, Paul and Bart co-founded Dept, an international network of leading digital agencies.
Dept aims to bring together expert agencies that help build brands, campaigns, experiences, digital products and services. To maintain their identity, the individual agencies operate under their own name, with the addition of ‘A part of Dept’, indicating they are components of a larger, international whole.
At the moment Dept has offices in both Europe and the US.

Sailing/Yachting is an Olympic sport starting from the Games of the 1st Olympiad. With the exception of 1904 and possibly the canceled 1916 Summer Olympics, sailing has always been included on the Olympic schedule. The Sailing program of 1992 consisted of a total of ten sailing classes (disciplines). For each class races were scheduled from 27 July 1992 to 4 August 1992 of the coast of Barcelona, Spain on the Mediterranean Sea.
Stephan van den Berg is a retired windsurfer from the Netherlands. He was world champion in 1983 and in the 1984 Summer Olympics, Long beach, California won the first Olympic Gold medal in the Windglider for the Netherlands. After that he turned professional and therefore missed the 1988 Olympics. He returned to amateurs to compete at the 1992 Olympics, Barcelona where he finished in seventh place in the Men's Lechner A-390.

Mark Jacobus Louis Neeleman is a sailor from the Netherlands. Since the Netherlands did boycott the Moscow Olympic Games Neeleman represented his National Olympic Committee at the 1980 Summer Olympics in Tallinn, USSR under the Dutch NOC flag. Neeleman took 8th place in the 1980 Summer Olympics, which was boycotted by several countries. In 1984 Summer Olympics, Los Angeles Neeleman did a second attempt in the Finn and finished on the 9th place. Neeleman missed the selection for the 1988 Olympics, Pusan.
Roy Heiner is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented his country at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Pusan. Heiner took 7th place in the Finn. In 1992 Summer Olympics, Barcelona Heiner helmed the Dutch Soling. With crew members Peter Burggraaff and Han Bergsma Heiner took 18th place. Heiner switched back to the Finn for the 1996 Summer Olympics, Savannah and took the bronze medal. His last Olympic appearance was in the 2000 Sydney Olympics. With crew members Peter van Niekerk and Dirk de Ridder Heiner took 4th place in the Soling.
Dorien Berendina Lubertha de Vries is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented her country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. De Vries took the Bronze medal on the Women's Lechner A-390. De Vries returned to the 1996 Olympics in Savannah, Georgia where she took 10th place on the Women's Mistral One Design.

Nicolaas Pieter "Nick" de Jong is a retired sailor from the Netherlands, who represented his country at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Enoshima. De Jong, as crew on the Dutch Flying Dutchman Daisy (H157), took the 6th place with helmsman Ben Verhagen. During the 1968 Summer Olympics in Acapulco he crewed Daisy (H187), again with helmsman Ben Verhagen to and an 18th place in the Flying Dutchman. For the 1972 Olympics De Jong made the switch from the Flying Dutchman to crew on the Soling with helmsman Heiki Blok and Rolf Kurpershoek. This team was nominated for the games by the KNWV. The nomination however did not resulted in a selection by the Dutch NOC.
Jan Kouwenhoven is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented his country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Kouwenhoven as crew in the Dutch Men's 470 with his twin brother Ben Kouwenhoven as helmsman took the 16th place. In 1996 Kouwenhoven returned to the Olympics in Savannah, Georgia. Again with his brother, Kouwenhoven took 24th place in the Men's 470.

Gerhard Potma was a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented his country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Potma as crew in the Dutch Flying Dutchman with his brother, Willem Potma, as helmsman took the 18th place. In 1996 Potma returned to the Olympics in Savannah. Again with his brother as helmsman and Frank Hettinga as crew. Potma took 15th place in the Soling.
Ronald Nico "Ron" van Teylingen is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented his country at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Van Teylingen as helmsman in the Dutch Tornado with Paul Manuel as crew took the 6th place. Four years later at the 1996 Olympics in Savannah with crew Herbert Dercksen Van Teylingen took 9th place again in the Tornado.

With Mark Neeleman as helmsman, Schrier took the 4th place in the Star. In the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Schrier made his second Olympic appearance and performed with the Dutch Star Mark Neeleman. Together, they took 6th place in the Star.
