Paul Worth (born 13 January 1986 in Nottingham) is a British short track speed skater.

Nottingham is a city and unitary authority area in Nottinghamshire, England, 128 miles (206 km) north of London, 45 miles (72 km) northeast of Birmingham and 56 miles (90 km) southeast of Manchester, in the East Midlands.

Worth competed at the 2010 Winter Olympics for Great Britain. In the 500 metres, he placed third in his round one heat, failing to advance. He was also a member of the British relay team. He did not race in the semifinal, but did race in the B final, which the British won to finish 6th overall. [1]

The 2010 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXI Olympic Winter Games and commonly known as Vancouver 2010, informally the 21st Winter Olympics, was an international winter multi-sport event that was held from 12 to 28 February 2010 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with some events held in the surrounding suburbs of Richmond, West Vancouver and the University Endowment Lands, and in the nearby resort town of Whistler.

As of 2013, Worth's best performance at the World Championships came in 2008, when he won a bronze medal as part of the British relay team. His best individual finish also came in 2008, a 19th-place finish in the 1000 meters. He also won a silver medal as a member of the British relay team at the 2008 European Championships. [2]

The World Short Track Speed Skating Championships are a senior international short track speed skating competition held once a year to determine the World Champion in individual distances, relays and Overall Classification. It is sanctioned by the International Skating Union and is usually held in March or April.

The 2008 World Short Track Speed Skating Championships took place between March 7 and 9, 2008 in Gangneung, South Korea. The World Championships are organised by the ISU which also run world cups and championships in speed skating and figure skating.

As of 2013, Worth has two ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup podium finishes, both as part of the British relay team. He has won bronze medals in 2007–08 at Salt Lake City and in 2008-09 at Vancouver. His top World Cup ranking is 11th, in the 500 metres in 2007–08. [2]

The Short Track Speed Skating World Cup is a series of international short track speed skating competitions, organised yearly by the International Skating Union since the winter of 1998/1999. Every year during the winter, a number of competitions on a number of different distances are held. Skaters can earn points at each competition and the skater who has the most points on a given distance at the end of the series is the winner.
