Pauw & Witteman was a Dutch late-night talk show, hosted by Jeroen Pauw and Paul Witteman. It was generally focused on current affairs and politics. It was broadcast every weekday at 11 pm on Nederland 1. It was initially co-produced by Dutch public broadcasters NPS and VARA, and subsequently produced solely by VARA.

During summer (in July and August) Pauw & Witteman were replaced by Knevel & Van de Brink, a talk show hosted by Andries Knevel and Tijs van den Brink, produced by the Dutch evangelical broadcasting company EO.

A Current Affair is an American television newsmagazine program that aired in syndication from July 28, 1986 to August 30, 1996, before it was briefly rebroadcast from March to October 2005. The program was produced by Fox Television Stations, and based at Fox's New York City flagship station WNYW, starting as a local production in 1986. It was syndicated to Fox's other owned-and-operated stations the next year, and then went into full national syndication in September 1988. Its signature "ka-chung" sound effect was created using a combination of the sound of a construction paper cutter and the swing of a golf club put through a synthesizer.

Joran Andreas Petrus van der Sloot is a Dutch convicted murderer and suspected serial killer who was convicted in the 2010 murder of Stephany Flores Ramírez in Lima, Peru. He is also the prime suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway in 2005. After Flores's murder on 30 May 2010 — five years to the day after Holloway's disappearance — Van der Sloot fled to Chile, where he was arrested and extradited back to Peru for questioning regarding the murder.

Patrick Paul van der Eem is a Dutch Antillean and convicted drug dealer known for his part in the undercover television report about Joran van der Sloot that was produced by Dutch crime reporter Peter R. de Vries. The program set a Dutch television viewing record and renewed attention in the ongoing investigation of the 2005 disappearance of American student Natalee Holloway in Aruba.

Natalee Holloway is a 2009 American television film directed by Mikael Salomon based on Beth Holloway's book about the 2005 disappearance of her daughter Natalee Holloway.
