The Times called the group “one of the most audacious and uncompromising musical adventurers of the post-punk era".

The Bran Flakes are a Canadian-American indie pop group formed in Seattle in 1992. The group, whose line-up comprises Otis Fodder from Montreal, Quebec, and Mildred Pitt from Seattle, Washington, specializes in creating sound collages from pre-existing sources. Until 1997, they recorded on 4-track in bedrooms and did not play any shows, putting out hand dubbed cassette tapes and distributing tapes through direct mail-order, zines and indie catalogs.

The Artist in the Ambulance is the third studio album by American rock band Thrice. It was released on July 22, 2003, through Island Records, becoming their first release on a major label. The band released their second studio album The Illusion of Safety in March 2002; by July of that year, they were writing material for their next album. Recording sessions were held with producer Brian McTernan at Bearsville Studios in Bearsville, New York; Salad Days Studios in Beltsville, Maryland; and Phase Studios in College Park, Maryland. The Artist in the Ambulance is a melodic hardcore and post-hardcore album that has been compared to the works of Blindside.
Epik High is a South Korean alternative hip hop group from Seoul composed of Tablo, Mithra Jin, and DJ Tukutz. Since their debut in 2003, the group has released a total of eleven studio albums. They are known for combining music genres and different styles of hip hop throughout their career, as well as their coverage of diverse lyrical themes.
Static & Silence is the third and final studio album by English alternative rock band The Sundays, released in the UK by Parlophone on 22 September 1997, and in the US by Geffen on 23 September 1997. The title is a quote from the album's final track "Monochrome", and the album's cover photo is a reference to the subject of "Monochrome", the TV screening of the Apollo 11 moon landing.
Pull Tiger Tail were an indie rock band based in London and originating from Stratford-upon-Avon and Edinburgh; they formed in 2006 while attending Goldsmiths College. All three members had grown up together in Stratford-upon-Avon where they played in indie-rock band Antihero, releasing two singles and winning the support of John Peel on Radio 1. The three friends shared a flat together when moving to London to attend Goldsmiths.

All That Is Within Me is the fifth studio album by American Christian rock band MercyMe. Produced by Brown Bannister, it was released on November 20, 2007 through INO Records. The album, intended by the band to be a worship album split between covers and original songs, was recorded following the band's tour with Audio Adrenaline in promotion of their previous studio album Coming Up to Breathe (2006). Although the band intended to write material for a new album during the tour, they had only written one song by the time they entered their recording studio, Cider Mountain Studio in Athol, Idaho. The band wrote so many songs at the studio that they decided not to include any cover songs; all of the songs on the album but were written or co-written by the band. The album was described as being a rock and worship album, being aimed directly at a Christian audience.
Coming Up to Breathe is the fourth studio album by Christian rock band MercyMe. Released on April 25, 2006, by INO Records, the album was intended by MercyMe to be edgier than their previous albums. Coming Up to Breathe sold 58,000 copies its first week, MercyMe's biggest sales week at the time. It debuted and peaked at number one on the Billboard Christian Albums chart, number five on the Rock Albums chart, and number thirteen on the Billboard 200. It also appeared on the Alternative Albums chart in 2007, peaking at number thirteen. Coming Up to Breathe was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in 2007, signifying shipments of over 500,000 copies.

Versa was an American rock duo formed in Port St. Lucie, Florida, in 2006, as VersaEmerge. The group consisted of Blake Harnage and Sierra Kay. They had a revolving line-up, their most prolific being with bassist Devin Ingelido, who was a member from 2007 until 2011.
The Taking Back the Cities Tour was a concert tour by Scottish/Northern Irish alternative rock band Snow Patrol. It was launched in support of the group's 2008 album A Hundred Million Suns. The band visited numerous arenas internationally from 2008 throughout 2009. The tour was the collective name of many smaller tours and festivals Snow Patrol played in support of their album. The tour has spanned 9 legs and had over 150 shows. The tour commenced on 26 October 2008 with the band playing a short whistle-stop tour of four capital cities.

The Trip: Created by Snow Patrol is a mix album compiled by alternative rock band Snow Patrol's vocalist Gary Lightbody and released through the Family Recordings label on 1 November 2004. Issued as a 2×CD and a 3×LP Vinyl, the album was the fifth in The Trip series. In the CD release, Disc I was called "Bert" and Disc II was "Ernie". Lightbody wished to compile his own Trip album after listening to the album compiled by Tom Middleton. Lightbody credits his DJ friend Roy Kerr, better known as The Freelance Hellraiser, for putting together most of the songs, joking about directing Kerr "from the comfy chair". Lightbody also wishes to compile a similar album with Kerr in the future.
"Just Say Yes" is a song by Northern Irish alternative rock band Snow Patrol, released as the single to follow "The Planets Bend Between Us" in October–November 2009, depending on the region. The song, produced by Jacknife Lee, is one of the three new songs, and the lead single from the compilation Up to Now. The lyrics were written by Gary Lightbody and the music was composed by Snow Patrol. "Just Say Yes" has its origins as a song written for pop singer Gwen Stefani, who rejected it. Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls was then given permission by Lightbody to record it for her solo debut album, which was later shelved.

The band is heavily influenced by punk rock acts Teenage Bottlerocket, Screeching Weasel, The Queers, and Chixdiggit, as well as Ramones; The band has described many of their records as "ramonescore".
