The 2009 Race of Champions was the 22nd running of the motorsport event, on November 3–4, 2009 at the Beijing National Stadium in Beijing, China. It was the first time that the event took place outside of Europe and Africa. It was the first international sports event to be held in the "Bird's Nest" stadium since the 2008 Summer Olympics. The event was moved from a weekend to a midweek slot for the first time. Ayrton Senna, the three-time title winner, is regarded as one of the greatest drivers in the history of Formula One. The 2007 Eurocup Mégane Trophy season was the third season of the Renault–supported touring car category, a one-make racing series that is part of the World Series by Renault. The season began at Circuit Zolder on 21 April and finished at the Circuit de Catalunya on 28 October, after seven rounds and fourteen races. Pedro Petiz won the title, having battled with his team-mate Dimitri Enjalbert for the entire campaign.

There have been five motor racing drivers from Portugal who have participated in a Grand Prix event of the Formula One World Championship, three of which have started in a race. The first to be officially listed as an entrant was Casimiro de Oliveira at the 1958 Portuguese Grand Prix, though Mário de Araújo Cabral was the first driver to take part in a Formula One race, doing so at the 1959 Portuguese Grand Prix. Following Araújo Cabral's final Grand Prix appearance in 1964, no Portuguese driver entered the World Championship until Pedro Chaves in 1991, or competed in a race until Pedro Lamy in 1993. Tiago Monteiro, who contested 37 Grands Prix across the 2005 and 2006 seasons, remains the country's most recent Formula One driver.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2022 Stock Car Pro Series</span>

The 2022 Stock Car Pro Series was the forty-fourth season of the Brazilian car racing series previously called Stock Car Brasil. It marked the return of Corrida de Duplas and the first race in an airport in stock car history. The season started on February 13 and ended on December 11 with the Super Final BRB, both at Interlagos Circuit.
