PT Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero), trading as Pelindo (English: Indonesian Ports Company or IPC), is Indonesian state-owned port operation company that offers an integrated port service throughout Indonesia. Pelindo officially founded on 1 October 2021 as a result of integration between four state-owned enterprises PT Pelindo I (Persero), PT Pelindo II (Persero), PT Pelindo III (Persero) and PT Pelindo IV (Persero); with PT Pelindo II as the surviving company. The establishment of Pelindo is a strategic initiative of the government as a shareholder to realize national connectivity and a stronger logistics ecosystem network. Maritime connectivity is projected to improve, whether it is local ports, or international ports. [2]

Kualanamu International Airport — often spelled as Kuala Namu and informally abbreviated KNIA — is an international airport serving Medan, Indonesia, and other parts of North Sumatra. It is located in the Deli Serdang Regency, 23 kilometres (14 mi) east of downtown Medan. Kualanamu is the third-largest airport in Indonesia after Jakarta Soekarno–Hatta and Bandung Kertajati, and the fifth busiest airport in Indonesia as of 2018, as well as the first Indonesian airport to receive a four-star rating from Skytrax. The airport was opened to the public on 25 July 2013, handling all flights and services from Polonia International Airport, an airport located at the heart of Medan which was deemed dangerous. The airport was built on the former site of an oil palm plantation of company Perkebunan Nusantara II Tanjung Morawa. The airport is expected to become the new international transit center in Sumatra and the western part of Indonesia. It is part of the Indonesian central government's "Masterplan to Accelerate and Expand Economic Development in Indonesia" (MP3EI) program. The airport was also considered as a candidate for ASEAN Single Aviation Market (ASEAN-SAM), an open skies policy among member countries in the Southeast Asia region starting 2015.

Aviation in Indonesia serves as a critical means of connecting the thousands of islands throughout the archipelago. Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country in the world, extending 5,120 kilometres (3,181 mi) from east to west and 1,760 kilometres (1,094 mi) from north to south, comprising 13,466 islands, with 922 of those permanently inhabited. With an estimated population of over 255 million people — making it the world's fourth-most-populous country — and also due to the growth of the middle-class, the boom of low-cost carriers in the recent decade, and overall economic growth, many domestic travellers shifted from land and sea transport to faster and more comfortable air travel. In Indonesia, state-owned enterprises play an important role in the national economy. Their roles includes contributor for national economy growth, providing goods or services which are not covered by private company, employment provider, providing support guidance to small and medium businesses, and source of government revenue. The Ministry of State Owned Enterprises represents the government's function as a shareholder of most of those companies, while some are represented by the Ministry of Finance.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Patimban Deep Sea Port</span> Seaport in Indonesia

Patimban Deep Sea Port is a seaport at Subang Regency, West Java, Indonesia. It is located about 70 kilometers from the Karawang Industrial Estate and 145 kilometers from the city center of capital Jakarta, where many Japanese industrial firms, particularly automotive manufacturers operate. The port comprises a total area of 654 hectares in which 300 hectares will be specialized for intermodal containers and vehicle terminals while the remaining 354 hectares will be used as a back-up area. The port development is expected to be fully completed by 2027. The port operation was officially inaugurated by President Joko Widodo on 20 December 2020 after completion of first phase construction.

The Indonesia Investment Authority is the sovereign wealth fund of Indonesia. The INA was founded by the Indonesian Government in 2021 to strengthen the country's economy by diversifying into new asset classes. INA was launched in February, 2021, with a target of managing $24.5 billion of assets. Unlike sovereign wealth funds of other countries which manage excess oil revenues or foreign exchange reserves, the INA seeks foreign funds as co-investors to finance the country's economic development.
