Pentwyn Deintyr is a small Welsh community between Quakers Yard and Nelson, Caerphilly. The name Pentwyn Deintyr (= pen twyn (y) deintyr, top of the hill of the tenterhooks) is a link with the early woollen industry in the district. The name originates where tenterhooks were used in the process of stretching the wool.
World flyweight boxing champion Jimmy Wilde was born in Pentwyn Deintyr.

The Worshipful Company of Clothworkers was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1528, formed by the amalgamation of its two predecessor companies, the Fullers and the Shearmen. It succeeded to the position of the Shearmen's Company and thus ranks twelfth in the order of precedence of Livery Companies of the City of London.

The Rhymney River is a river in the Rhymney Valley, South Wales, flowing through Cardiff into the Severn Estuary. Tutshill for Beachley Halt was a request stop on the South Wales Railway and Wye Valley Railway. It was opened on 9 July 1934, and was intended to serve the nearby village of Tutshill. However, though the station was situated a short distance from the junction of the Wye Valley Railway and was still on the main line, the only trains which served the small halt were from the Wye Valley Railway and when the line closed on 5 January 1959, the stop closed with it.
