The People's College of Medical Sciences and Research is a medical college located at Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India. It is a part of the People's Group, which also runs a hospital, two dental colleges and other educational institutes. [1] The college is affiliated to Peoples University, Bhopal. It was established as a teaching hospital in 2002 and started admission in 2005. [2]

Jitendra Nath Pande or J. N. Pande was an Indian Pulmonologist and Professor and Head of Medicine at the All India Institute of Medical Studies (AIIMS). He was working as Senior Consultant (Medicine) at Sitaram Bhartia Institute of Science & Research, New Delhi. He died on 23 May 2020 during sleep when he was home quarantined due to COVID-19 positivity during the COVID-19 pandemic in India, in New Delhi.

The Government of India awarded him the third highest civilian honour of the Padma Bhushan, in 1972, for his contributions to medicine.
