Per Mellesmo (15 September 1919, in Vågå – 3 May 1993) was a Norwegian politician for the Labour Party.

Vågå is a municipality in Oppland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional region of Gudbrandsdal. The municipality comprises 1,330 km². The administrative centre is the village of Vågåmo.

He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Oppland in 1965, and was re-elected on two occasions. He had previously served as a deputy representative during the terms 1954–1957, 1958–1961 and 1961–1965.

The Storting is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. It is located in Oslo. The unicameral parliament has 169 members, and is elected every four years based on party-list proportional representation in nineteen plurinominal constituencies. Oppland[²ɔplɑn](listen) is a county in Norway, bordering Trøndelag, Møre og Romsdal, Sogn og Fjordane, Buskerud, Akershus, Oslo and Hedmark. The county administration is in Lillehammer. Oppland is, together with Hedmark, one of the only two landlocked counties of Norway.

On the local level she was a member of Nord-Fron municipality council from 1951 to 1963 and 1979 to 1987. From 1967 to 1971 she was also a member of Oppland county council. He chaired the municipal party chapter for several periods.

The old municipality of Fron was divided into Nord-Fron and Sør-Fron in 1851. In 1966, they were merged back together again, but that only lasted until 1977 when they separated once again.

Outside politics he worked as a gardener in Biri, Sandnes, Moss, Denmark, and finally Vinstra.
