North Sulawesi is a province of Indonesia. It is located on the Minahasa Peninsula of Sulawesi, south of the Philippines and southeast of Sabah, Malaysia. It borders Davao and Soccsksargen regions of the Philippines to the north, the Maluku Sea to the east, Gorontalo and Celebes Sea to the west and the Gulf of Tomini to the southwest. With Miangas, it is the northernmost province of Indonesia. The province's area is 13,851.64 square kilometres (5,348.15 sq mi), and its population was 2,270,596 according to the 2010 census; this rose to 2,409,921 at the 2015 Intermediate Census, and the latest official estimate is 2,512,900.
The Minahasans are an ethnic group native to the North Sulawesi province of Indonesia, formerly known as North Celebes. The Minahasa people sometimes refer to themselves as Manado people. Despite the fact that the Minahasan pre-Christian creation myth entails some form of ethnic unification, before the nineteenth century the Minahasa region was in no way unified. Instead, a number of politically independent groups (walak) existed together, often in a permanent state of war.

The local name of the language is Bahasa Manado, and the name Minahasa Malay is also used, after the main ethnic group speaking the language. Since Manado Malay is used primarily for spoken communication, there is no standard orthography.
Klabat University is a Christian institution of higher learning. It was established on 7 October 1965 by Gereja Masehi Advent Hari Ketujuh (GMAHK). At present, the university is run by Yayasan Universitas Klabat under the care of Uni Konfrens Indonesia Kawasan Timur (UKIKT) or the East Indonesia Union Conference (EIUC) of the SDA.
Sam Ratulangi International Airport, is located in North Sulawesi, 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) northeast of Manado. The airport is named after the Minahasan educator and independence hero Sam Ratulangi. It is designated as one of the 11 main entry ports to Indonesia by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture of Indonesia and serves as the main gateway to the Bunaken National Marine Park. It is currently the hub of Lion Air/Wings Air for the northeastern part of Indonesia and is one of the focus cities of Garuda Indonesia and Citilink. It is served by international airlines.
Klabat Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is used as the home venue for Persma Manado and Sulut United. The stadium holds 10,000 people. The stadium is used for the friendly match between PSV Eindhoven and Persma Manado in the era of the 90s.
The 1995–96 Liga Indonesia Premier Division was the second season of the Liga Indonesia Premier Division, the top division of Indonesian football. The season began on 26 November 1995 and ended on 6 October 1996. The league was made up of 31 clubs. Persib Bandung were the defending champions.

The season began on 1 November 1998 and ended on 9 April 1999. The league was made up of 28 clubs. PSIS Semarang won the title after beating the defending champions, Persebaya Surabaya 1–0 in the final.
Tinutuan, also known as bubur manado or Manadonese porridge is a specialty of the Manado cuisine and a popular breakfast food in the city of Manado and the surrounding province of North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Tinutuan is a congee made from rice, pumpkin and sweet potato or cassava cooked up into a pulp, which is then mixed with corn kernels and various leafy vegetables such as kangkung, kemangi, melinjo, and bayam (amaranth). Finally it is served with many toppings that may include fried shallots, fried tofu, spring onions, leeks, coriander, chili, condiments like sambal and dabu-dabu, and smoked or salted fish, usually skipjack tuna, anchovies, or nike.
Unika De La Salle Manado is a Catholic university in Manado, Indonesia in the district of North Sulawesi. Run by the Brothers of the Christian Schools, and therefore part of the worldwide network of La Sallian educational institutions, it was established in 2000 as a response to the monetary crisis that hit Indonesia in 1997. The Bishop of Manado, Mgr Joseph Suwatan, realized that the crisis hitting Indonesia could be overcome through the establishment of educational institutions. He founded De La Salle Catholic University Manado in cooperation with the Brothers of De La Salle University of Manila, Philippines.

Celebest Football Club is a football club based in Palu, Central Sulawesi, Indonesia that competes in Liga 3. Nicknamed Tanduk Anoa, the club was founded as Villa 2000 Football Club based in Pamulang, South Tangerang, changed its name to Celebest in 2016 and moved to its current stadium, Gawalise Stadium, in the same year.
Minahasan cuisine or Manado cuisine is the cooking tradition of the Minahasan people of North Sulawesi, Indonesia. It is popularly known as "Manadonese cuisine" after Manado, the capital of the province, although other cities in North Sulawesi, such as Bitung, Tomohon and Tondano, are also known as Minahasan culinary hotspots. Manadonese cuisine is known for its rich variations in seafood, generous amount of spices, extra-hot condiments, exotic meats, and European-influenced cakes and pastries. Popular Manadonese dishes include tinutuan, cakalang fufu, cakalang noodle, paniki, chicken or various fish and seafood spiced in rica-rica or woku spices, chicken tuturuga, and brenebon.
Woku is an Indonesian type of bumbu found in Manado cuisine of North Sulawesi, Indonesia. It has rich aroma and spicy taste. Woku consist of ground spices paste; red ginger, turmeric, candlenut and red chili pepper, mixed with chopped shallot, scallion, tomato, lemon or citrus leaf and turmeric leaf, lemon basil leaf and bruised lemongrass. Rub main ingredients with salt and lime juices, and marinate for 30 minutes. All spices are cooked in coconut oil until the aroma came up and mixed together with the main ingredients, water, and a pinch of salt, well until all cooked well.
Bernard Wilhelm "B. W." Lapian was a nationalist involved in the struggle for Indonesian independence. He published several newspapers that gave voice to the welfare of the Indonesian people and promoted Indonesian nationalism. He was also part a group who established a separate Christian denomination from the official Dutch East-Indies church institution. After Indonesia gained its independence, Lapian served as head of the district of Manado and acting governor of Sulawesi. In 2015, he was given the title of "National Hero of Indonesia" by President Joko Widodo.

However, other kind of meat such as beef, chicken or seafood might be used as well. Spices mixture includes chili pepper, shallot or onion, ginger, lime leaves, lemongrass, lime juice, cooking oil, and salt.
Manado-Bitung Toll Road is a toll road that connects Manado and Bitung, two largest cities of North Sulawesi province in the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. This toll road will also serve as the main access road to Bitung Special Economic Zone (SEZ) and Bitung International Hub Port.
The 1999 Liga Indonesia Premier Division Final was a football match which was played on 9 April 1999 at Klabat Stadium in Manado. It was contested by Persebaya Surabaya and PSIS Semarang to determine the winner of the 1998–99 Liga Indonesia Premier Division. PSIS won the match 1–0 thanks to a late goal from Tugiyo. With the result, PSIS claim their first-ever professional title.
