He is recognised in the dance community for his solo work, [1] and his remixes with frequent collaborator Terry Farley. [2] As a duo, they have released popular tunes under the names Heller & Farley Project (or Farley & Heller), Fire Island plus The Look and Feel. In 1996, they released "Ultra Flava", a No. 3 hit on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. The track also peaked at No. 22 on the UK Singles Chart. [2] In 2000, he remixed Moby's song "South Side" which charted at No. 14 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, making it Moby's most successful single in the US.
On his own, Heller hit No. 1 on the US Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart with "Big Love", which held the top spot for three weeks and also was ranked by Billboard as the #1 dance song of 1999. [3] The same track peaked at No. 12 in the UK. [2]
In addition, Heller remixed the Chemical Brothers' 2002 release "Star Guitar", which reached No. 8 on the UK chart. [4]
In 2004, Heller launched his own record label, Phela Recordings, as a platform for his productions and collaborations with other artists.

Almighty Records released an updated version of the song with new versions in 2012.
"Ultra Flava" is a house song by British duo Heller and Farley Project. After the wide renown with their remix of Ultra Naté's "How Long" in 1994 and M People's "Open Your Heart" in 1995, they released it as a single in 1996. It is a slightly re-worked version of their mix of "How Long", without Naté's vocals. They entitled it "Ultra Flava" as a nod to the track's origins. It was a huge club hit and peaked at number 22 on the UK Singles Chart, while reaching number-one on the UK Dance Singles Chart. In the US, it peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart. A black-and-white music video was also produced to promote the single.
"V. Thirteen" is a song by the English band Big Audio Dynamite, released as both a 7" and 12" single from their second studio album, No. 10, Upping St. (1986). "V. Thirteen" was one of 5 tracks that former Clash lyricist and lead vocalist Joe Strummer co-wrote with Mick Jones on the album who also co-produced the album, including this single, with Jones. Following the disappointing sales of "C'mon Every Beatbox", "V. Thirteen" was released as the second single from the album, charting slightly higher by peaking at No. 49 on the UK Singles Chart, and No. 15 on Billboard's Dance Club Songs.
