The Atlanta Braves are an American professional baseball team based in the Atlanta metropolitan area. The Braves compete in Major League Baseball (MLB) as a member club of the National League (NL) East Division. The Braves were founded in Boston,Massachusetts,in 1871,as the Boston Red Stockings. The club was known by various names until the franchise settled on the Boston Braves in 1912. The Braves are the oldest continuously operating professional sports franchise in North America.
Johnnie B "Dusty" Baker Jr. is an American retired professional baseball outfielder and manager in Major League Baseball (MLB). He played in MLB for 19 seasons with the Atlanta Braves,Los Angeles Dodgers,San Francisco Giants,and Oakland Athletics. He also made three World Series appearances with the Dodgers,and was a member of the 1981 championship team.
Robert JoséWatson was an American professional baseball player,coach and general manager. He played in Major League Baseball as a first baseman and left fielder from 1966 to 1984,most prominently as a member of the Houston Astros where he was a two-time All-Star player. Watson had a .295 batting average over a career that also saw him play for the Boston Red Sox,New York Yankees,and the Atlanta Braves.
James Leroy Thomas was an American first baseman and right fielder,coach and front-office executive in Major League Baseball (MLB) who played for six teams from 1961 to 1968,most notably the Los Angeles Angels,then went on to a successful tenure as general manager of the Philadelphia Phillies. Traded to the Angels one month after the expansion franchise began play in 1961,he tied for third in Rookie of the Year voting after batting .285 with 24 home runs and 70 runs batted in (RBI),primarily playing in the outfield. The following year,he was named to the American League (AL) All-Star team after shifting to first base,and appeared in both All-Star games played that year as a pinch hitter and late-inning defensive replacement. He finished the year with career highs in batting (.290),home runs (26) and RBI (104),but a sharp decline in 1963 led to his being traded to the Boston Red Sox in mid-1964,the first of four trades before the 1968 season.
John Boland Schuerholz Jr. is an American baseball front office executive. He was the general manager of Major League Baseball's Atlanta Braves from 1990 to 2007,and then served as the Braves president for a decade from 2007 until 2016. Before joining Atlanta,he spent 22 years with the Kansas City Royals organization,including nine (1982–1990) as the club's general manager. Among the teams he built are the 1985 Royals and 1995 Braves,both World Series champions. His teams have also won their division 16 times,including 14 consecutive times in Atlanta. During his time with the Braves,they won five National League pennants and played in nine National League Championship series. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2017.

He recently served as president of baseball operations for the Texas Rangers before being released from the position on August 17,2022. When hired at age 28,he was the youngest GM in Major League Baseball at the time.

Alex Anthopoulos is a Canadian professional baseball executive,currently working as the general manager and president of baseball operations for the Atlanta Braves. He was the senior vice president of baseball operations and general manager of the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball (MLB) from 2010 to 2015,for whom he began as a scouting coordinator in 2003. Prior to the Blue Jays,Anthopoulos got his start in professional baseball with the Montreal Expos organization in 2000. In 2015,he was named the Sporting News Executive of the Year after the Blue Jays advanced to the playoffs for the first time since 1993,reaching the American League Championship Series (ALCS). However,his term with the Blue Jays ended on October 29,2015,when he declined a five-year contract extension. He served for two years as vice president of baseball operations for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Jeff Luhnow is a Mexican and American former baseball executive and owner of Mexican club Cancún and Leganés of Spain. He worked for the St. Louis Cardinals in their scouting department from 2003 through 2011,before joining the Houston Astros in December 2011. On January 13,2020,Luhnow was fired by the Astros after Major League Baseball suspended him for the entire 2020 season as a result of the electronic sign-stealing scandal. Prior to working in baseball,Luhnow was a business entrepreneur.

David Stearns is an American baseball executive who serves as the president of baseball operations for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously served in the same role for the Milwaukee Brewers,as well as the assistant general manager of MLB's Houston Astros,worked for the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball,the Arizona Fall League,and in the baseball operations departments for the Cleveland Indians and the Mets.
John Coppolella is an American former baseball front office executive who served as the general manager of the Atlanta Braves of Major League Baseball (MLB) from 2015 through 2017. Coppolella resigned as general manager of the Braves after he committed amateur signing infractions. MLB banned him for life as a result of those violations,though he was later reinstated.

They completely reversed their 72-90 season in 2017,and made the postseason and won a division title for the first time since 2013. They lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers in four games in the NLDS.
Perry Minasian is an American professional baseball executive. He is the general manager of the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball. He previously served as a scout and assistant general manager in the Toronto Blue Jays and Atlanta Braves organizations,respectively.
