He succeeded general manager Bob Quinn. The Giants had a winning record in thirteen of the eighteen seasons in which Sabean served as general manager. Prior to his tenure,the team had suffered losing seasons in five out of six years. He is a native of Concord,New Hampshire.

Bruce Douglas Bochy is a French-American professional baseball manager and former catcher who is the manager of the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB).
