The Second Sea Lord and Deputy Chief of Naval Staff is deputy to the First Sea Lord and the second highest-ranking officer currently to serve in the Royal Navy and is responsible for personnel and naval shore establishments. Originally titled Second Naval Lord in 1830, the post was restyled Second Sea Lord in 1904. They are based at Navy Command, Headquarters.

The Chief of Naval Personnel (CNP) is responsible for overall manpower readiness for the United States Navy. As such, the CNP is the highest ranking human resources officer in the Navy. The CNP also serves in an additional duty capacity as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations and is one of five Deputy Chiefs of Naval Operations, with the identification of OPNAV N1/PMT. The CNP oversees the operations of the Bureau of Naval Personnel (BUPERS), the Navy Manpower Analysis Center (NAVMAC), and the Naval Education and Training Command (NETC). While most BUPERS offices are located in Millington, Tennessee and are overseen on a day-to-day basis by the Deputy Chief of Naval Personnel (DCNP), a small BUPERS staff is located in Arlington, Virginia to directly support the CNP. The CNP and the other four DCNOs are nominated by the President of the United States and must be confirmed via majority vote by the Senate. The CNP and the DCNOs are each appointed as a three-star vice admiral while holding office.
The Ghana Secondary Technical School is a science and technology-oriented high school located in Takoradi on the west coast of Ghana. It is the third oldest high school in Ghana - the oldest 'non-missionary' high school. The School was founded on 9 August 1909 in Accra as Accra Technical School and later changed to Government Technical School. It moved to its current site in Takoradi in 1939. In 1953, the name was changed to Government Secondary Technical School, and in 1970, it was given its current name. Former students of the school are known as Giants, and students in the school are called Tescans.
Commodore Philemon F. Quaye was a Ghanaian naval personnel, politician, diplomat and religious leader. He served as Chief of the Naval Staff of the Ghana Navy and as a senior officer in the Ghana Army as well. He served as Chief of Naval Staff of the Ghana Navy from 1 April 1969 to 15 May 1972. He was once Scripture Union International Council chairman. He was also active with World Vision International in Ghana and elsewhere.

Vice Admiral Mathew Quashie was a Ghanaian naval officer and was the twenty-ninth Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces. He also served as the Chief of Naval Staff of the Ghana Navy from 3 April 2009 to 28 March 2013.
Admiral Sunil Lanba, PVSM, AVSM, PJG, ADC is a retired Indian naval officer who served as the 23rd Chief of the Naval Staff of the Indian Navy. He assumed the office on 31 May 2016 after Admiral Robin K. Dhowan and demitted office three years later on 31 May 2019. During this time, he also served as Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee and Honorary Aide-de-Camp to the President of India.

Admiral Radhakrishnan Hari Kumar is retired flag officer in the Indian Navy. He served as 25th Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS). Previously, he served as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command. In his prior appointments, he served as the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, Chief of Personnel, Controller Personnel Services, the Flag Officer Commanding Western Fleet, Flag Officer Sea Training and the Chief of the Staff of the Western Naval Command. He was the Commandant of the Naval War College, Goa and served as a naval advisor to the government of Seychelles. He is an alumnus of National Defence Academy, the Naval War College, the Army War College, Mhow and the Royal College of Defence Studies.
