Peter Hermann (born 16 October 1963) is a retired male track cyclist from Liechtenstein, who competed for his native country in three events at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, South Korea. His best result was finishing in 21st place in the Men's 1,000 metres Time Trial. [1] He is the brother of Roman Hermann und Sigmund Hermann.
Hermann Maier is an Austrian former World Cup champion alpine ski racer and Olympic gold medalist. Nicknamed the "Herminator", Maier ranks among the greatest alpine ski racers in history, with four overall World Cup titles, two Olympic gold medals, and three World Championship titles. His 54 World Cup race victories – 24 super-G, 15 downhills, 14 giant slaloms, and 1 combined – rank third on the men's all-time list behind Ingemar Stenmark's 86 victories and Marcel Hirscher's 67 victories. Until 2023 he held the record for the most points in one season by a male alpine skier, with 2000 points from the 2000 season. From 2000–2013 he also held the title of most points in one season by any alpine skier, until Tina Maze scored 2414 points in the 2013 season.

Michael Edward "Peter" Kennedy III is an American retired pair skater. Although named Michael, he was nicknamed Peter as a child, and has been credited in competition by both names. With his sister, Karol, he won five U.S. Championship titles from 1948 to 1952. Known as "The Kennedy Kids", they won the World Championship in 1950, and the silver medal in the 1952 Winter Olympics. He was born in Olympia, Washington.
Ireland sent a delegation to compete at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy from 10–26 February 2006. This was Ireland's fourth appearance at a Winter Olympic Games. The Irish delegation to Turin consisted of four athletes, two alpine skiers, one cross-country skier, and one skeleton racer. The best performance by any Irish competitor at these Olympics was 20th, by David Connolly in the men's skeleton race. The Bobsleigh team, Ireland’s first and only at the Olympics finished 24th, driven by Peter O’Malley with John O’Donoghue on Breaks and the brothers Joe and Patrick Mullins rounding out the crew.
Hermann Joseph Barrelet de Ricou was a Swiss-born French rower. He won gold medals in single sculls at the 1900 Summer Olympics and 1901 European Championships. Barrelet continued to compete in single sculls into his thirties, but had better achievements in team events, winning European titles in the men's eight (1909) and double sculls.

The individual show jumping was an equestrian event held as part of the Equestrian at the 1964 Summer Olympics programme. The event was held on 24 October. There were 46 competitors from 17 nations. Each nation could have up to three riders. The event was won by Pierre Jonquères d'Oriola of France, the first rider to win two gold medals in individual jumping; he did so 12 years apart, with his first in 1952. It was France's third gold medal in the event overall, moving out of a tie with Italy at two for most all-time. Hermann Schridde, representing the United Team of Germany, took silver. Great Britain earned its second consecutive bronze in the event, this time with Peter Robeson taking the honors.
Hermann Bosch was a German international footballer who played as a midfielder and competed in the 1912 Summer Olympics. He was born in Öhningen am Bodensee. He was a member of the German Olympic squad and played one match in the main tournament as well as one match in the consolation tournament. He was killed during World War I.
Hermann Hänggi was a Swiss gymnast and Olympic Champion. He competed at the 1928 Summer Olympics, where he won two gold medals, one silver and one bronze medal. Additionally, he competed at the 1931 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships where he won an individual gold medal on the vault apparatus.
Peter Hermann Stebler was a Swiss rower who competed in the 1948 Summer Olympics and in the 1952 Summer Olympics. He was born in Zürich. In 1948 he was a crew member of the Swiss boat which won the silver medal in the coxed four event. Four years later he was eliminated with his partner Émile Knecht in the first round repêchage of the double sculls event.
Hermann Ludwig Husslein is a Thai slalom canoeist who competes in the K-1 event. He won a bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games, placing fourth in 2010 and 2014. At the 2012 Olympics he finished 19th in the heats and failed to qualify for the semifinals.
