Norman Richard Read was a New Zealand racewalker. Born in Portsmouth, England, Read emigrated to New Zealand in 1953. Read also took part in the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, finishing fifth in the 20 km walk and abandoning the 50 km race. He won a bronze medal in the 20 mile walk at the 1966 British Empire and Commonwealth Games in Kingston, Jamaica, which was his last international tournament.
Peter Nocke is a retired freestyle swimmer, who represented West Germany at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. There he won the bronze medal in the men's 100 m freestyle. Nocke won a total number of nine European titles during the 1970s.
