Phil Moffett is an American politician from Kentucky who was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from 2015 to 2019. Moffett was an unsuccessful candidate for governor in 2011,losing the Republican nomination to David Williams. He was first elected to the house in 2014 following the retirement of incumbent Julie Raque Adams to run for the Kentucky Senate. [1] He was defeated for reelection in 2018 by Democrat Tina Bojanowski. [2]
Ernest Lee Fletcher is an American physician and politician who was the 60th governor of Kentucky from 2003 to 2007. He previously served three consecutive terms in the United States House of Representatives before resigning after being elected governor. A member of the Republican Party,Fletcher was a family practice physician and a Baptist lay minister and is the second physician to be elected Governor of Kentucky;the first was Luke P. Blackburn in 1879. He was also the first Republican governor of Kentucky since Louie Nunn left office in 1971.

When Republicans gained control of the state senate in 2000,Williams was chosen as President of the Senate,and held that post continuously until his resignation in November 2012. In September 2010,he announced his candidacy for the Republican nomination for governor in the 2011 gubernatorial election. On May 17,2011,Williams secured the Republican nomination over Tea Party movement-backed Phil Moffet. However,he lost the general election by twenty points to incumbent Democratic Governor Steve Beshear. In November 2012,Williams resigned his Senate seat to accept a circuit court judgeship.

William Farmer Jr. is an American politician from Kentucky who was a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from 2003 to 2013. Farmer was first elected in 2002 when the 88th district in Harlan County was eliminated and redrawn in Lexington. He did not seek reelection in 2012 and was succeeded by Robert Benvenuti. Howard was first elected in 2014,defeating Republican incumbent Toby Herald. In 2016 he was defeated for reelection by Herald in a rematch. Howard challenged Herald again in 2018,defeating him by a margin of seven votes. Howard declined to seek reelection in 2020 and was succeeded by Republican Billy Wesley.
