Courtney Andrew Walsh OJ is a Jamaican former cricketer who represented the West Indies from 1984 to 2001,captaining the West Indies in 22 Test matches. He is a fast bowler and considered one of the all-time greats,best known for a remarkable opening bowling partnership along with fellow West Indian Curtly Ambrose for several years. Walsh played 132 Tests and 205 ODIs for the West Indies and took 519 and 227 wickets respectively. He shared 421 Test wickets with Ambrose in 49 matches. He held the record of most Test wickets from 2000,after he broke the record of Kapil Dev. This record was later broken in 2004 by Shane Warne. He was the first bowler to reach 500 wickets in Test cricket. His autobiography is entitled "Heart of the Lion". Walsh was named one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1987. In October 2010,he was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame. He was appointed as the Specialist Bowling Coach of Bangladesh Cricket Team in August 2016.
The Right Excellent Sir Garfield St Aubrun Sobers,NH,AO,OCC,also known as Sir Gary or Sir Garry Sobers,is a former Barbadian cricketer who played for the West Indies between 1954 and 1974. A highly skilled bowler,an aggressive batsman and an excellent fielder,he is widely considered to be cricket's greatest ever all-rounder and one of the greatest cricketers of all time.
Malcolm Denzil Marshall was a Barbadian cricketer. Primarily a fast bowler,Marshall is widely regarded as one of the greatest and one of the most accomplished fast bowlers of the modern era in Test cricket. He is often acknowledged as the greatest West Indian fast bowler of all time,and certainly one of the most complete fast bowlers the cricketing world ever saw. His Test bowling average of 20.94 is the best of anyone who has taken 200 or more wickets. He achieved his bowling success despite being,by the standards of other fast bowlers of his time,a short man –he stood at 180 cm,while most of the great quicks have been well above 183 cm and many great West Indian fast bowlers,such as Joel Garner,Curtly Ambrose,and Courtney Walsh,were 197 cm or above. He generated fearsome pace from his bowling action,with a dangerous bouncer. He also statistically went on to become the most successful Test match bowler of the 1980s with 235 wickets with an average of 18.47 within a time period of just five years. Marshall was a part of the West Indies team that won the 1979 Cricket World Cup as well as the team which reached the 1983 Cricket World Cup Final,but lost to India by 43 runs.
Ravindranath Rampaul is a Trinidadian cricketer who plays as a pace bowler. He's played for the West Indies,Trinidad and Tobago and IPL side Royal Challengers Bangalore. Rampaul has also featured for CPL outfits Barbados Tridents and Trinbago Knight Riders along with English County cricket teams Surrey and Derbyshire. Rampaul was a notable member of the Windies side that won the 2012 T20 World Cup.
Sir Wesley Winfield Hall is a Barbadian former cricketer and politician. A tall,strong and powerfully built man,Hall was a genuine fast bowler and despite his very long run up,he was renowned for his ability to bowl long spells. Hall played 48 Test matches for the West Indies from 1958 to 1969. Hall's opening bowling partnership with fellow Barbadian Charlie Griffith was a feature of the strong West Indies teams throughout the 1960s. Hall was one of the most popular cricketers of his day and was especially popular in Australia,where he played two seasons in the Sheffield Shield with Queensland.
Maurice Linton Churchill Foster played 14 Tests and two One Day Internationals for the West Indies and he was a talented table-tennis player. He attended Wolmer's Schools. He was a member of the squad that won the 1975 Cricket World Cup.
The Combined Islands cricket team was a cricket team that represented the cricket-playing islands of the Lesser Antilles,excluding Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago who fielded their own teams. They played in 13 Shell Shield tournaments from 1965–66 to 1980–81,when they won their first title and were subsequently disbanded into Leeward Islands and Windward Islands. Those two teams had first-class status before 1980–81,but competed together in the Shell Shield.

RangyNanan was a West Indian cricketer who played as a right arm off spinner. Nanan played for both Trinidad and Tobago and for the West Indies cricket team. He captained T&T for several years,steering the side to a 1985 Red Stripe Cup title. Nanan picked up a sum of 366 wickets in 94 first class games for T&T.
Sunil Philip Narine is a Trinidadian cricket player who played internationally for the West Indies. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut in December 2011 and Test match debut in June 2012. Primarily an off-spin bowler,he is also a left-handed batsman. Narine was a part of the West Indies team that won the 2012 T20 World Cup,where he took the winning wicket of Lasith Malinga in the final. In November 2023,he announced his retirement from international cricket.
Shane Shillingford is a West Indian cricketer who plays first-class and List A cricket for the Windward Islands and Test cricket for the West Indies cricket team. On 4 March 2021 it was announced that Shillingford has joined Home Counties Premier League,Division 1 side Buckingham Town.
Brandon Jeremy Bess is a former international cricketer who made his debut for the West Indies cricket team in June 2010 as a late replacement for Nelon Pascal,who was injured pre-match. A right-arm fast-medium bowler and lower order right-handed batsman,he plays first-class cricket for Guyana.
Shannon Terry Gabriel is a Trinidadian cricketer who played internationally cricket for West Indies cricket team. He is a fast bowler. He quickly became a key member of the Trinidad and Tobago attack after his debut in 2010. Following a neck injury to Ravi Rampaul,which forced him out of the match,Gabriel made his Test match debut for West Indies in May 2012,against England at Lord's. He made his One Day International (ODI) debut on 21 June 2016 against Australia. He is the first player to bat at No.12 in a Test match. On 28 August 2024,Gabriel announced his retirement from international cricket.

A right-arm off-break bowler,Cornwall has played for Leeward Islands cricket team and featured in the line-up for the Antigua Hawksbills in the Caribbean Premier League. In August 2019,Cricket West Indies named him as the Championship Player of the Year. Later the same month,he made his international debut for the West Indies cricket team. He also set the record for the heaviest cricketer to play Test cricket,weighing more than 140 kg. For the Leewards Islands,he is their second highest wicket-taker in both First Class and List A cricket,while only Kieran Powell has scored more than his four List A hundreds for the side.

The 1968–69 Shell Shield season was the third edition of what is now the Regional Four Day Competition,the domestic first-class cricket competition for the countries of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). The tournament was sponsored by Royal Dutch Shell,with matches played from 17 January to 6 March 1969.
Lloyd Malcolm Cornelius is a former Guyanese cricketer who represented the Guyanese national team in West Indian domestic cricket. He was a right-arm off-spin bowler and a competent lower-order batsman.
The 2017–18 Regional Four Day Competition was the 52nd edition of the Regional Four Day Competition,the domestic first-class cricket competition for the countries of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). The competition ran from 26 October 2017 to 21 January 2018,with six matches being played as day/night fixtures.
