Philippe Adamski (born 8 April 1985) [1] is a French orienteering competitor. He has been a member of the French club Tous Azimuts Douai since he started orienteering. He also runs for Finnish club Kalevan Rasti.
Adamski started competitive orienteering relatively late, when he was 17, after having some practice at school. However, he reached a high level quickly and took part in his first junior world championships in Estonia one year later (2003). his attendance at the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Poland showed his quick improvement with 2 top 15 places.
At JWOC 2005 in Switzerland, he gained his first medals with silver in the middle distance and bronze in the long distance.
At senior level, He won silver in the World University Orienteering Championships in Slovakia (Kosice, 2006). The same year, he was in the first team at the Orienteering World Cup relay in Montlosier, his first time running for the French Team. (the team was disqualified.)
He competed in the French relay team at the 2009 World Orienteering Championships in Miskolc. [2] He won a silver medal in the long distance, and a silver medal in the relay with the French team at the 2010 European Orienteering Championships in Primorsko. [3]
At the 2010 WOC, For the 3rd time in a row, he was unlucky with the WOC relay when his teammate Thierry Gueorgiou missed a control whilst in a leading position.
Finally in 2011, on home Ground in France, he became world champion in Relay, together with François Gonon and Thierry Gueorgiou.
Thierry Gueorgiou is a French orienteer who has won more than 20 gold medals in international competitions, including the World Orienteering Championships (WOC) middle distance event eight times: 2003–2005, 2007–2009, 2011 and 2017. In November 2016 it was announced he will become the Swedish national team head coach following the 2017 World Championships.
Daniel Hubmann is a Swiss orienteering competitor, world champion in all three individual disciplines and multiple winner of the overall Orienteering World Cup. He is the brother of Martin Hubmann.
Anders Nordberg is a Norwegian orienteering competitor. He received a bronze medal at the 2004 World Orienteering Championship, and again a bronze medal in 2007. He finished second in the overall World Cup 2007.
Olav Lundanes is a Norwegian orienteering competitor, hailing from Ålesund. He has won gold medal at the World Orienteering Championships ten times and the European Orienteering Championships four times. He competes for Halden SK.
Magne Dæhli is a Norwegian orienteering competitor, ski-orienteer and cross-country skier. His achievements include five medals in the relay at the World Orienteering Championships, of which three are gold medals. His best individual performances include a silver medal in the long distance from the European Orienteering Championships, and a bronze medal in the middle distance from the 2019 World Orienteering Championships.
François Gonon is a French orienteering competitor. He has received gold and silver medals with the French relay team in both world championships and European championships. He currently competes for the French orienteering club O'JURA and for the Swedish orienteering club IFK Göteborg.
Michal Smola is a Czech orienteering competitor, silver medalist from the world championships, and junior world champion. He became Junior World Champion in the short distance in Nove Mesto na Morave in 2000, and with the Czech team in relay in 2000 and in 2001. His best achievement by September 2009 is silver medal in the middle distance at the 2008 World Orienteering Championship in Olomouc.
Martin Johansson is a Swedish orienteering, ski-orienteering and cross-country skiing competitor, medallist from the orienteering world championships, and a 2004 Junior World Champion in relay. He received bronze medals in sprint at the World Orienteering Championships in Kiev in 2007 and in Olomouc in 2008. His brother, Lars, is a member of the Rockford Icehogs
Ruslan Gritsan is a Russian competitor and multiple world champion in both ski-orienteering and mountain bike orienteering.
Michaela Gigon is an Austrian mountain bike orienteer and several times world champion. She has competed at all World MTB Orienteering Championships from 2002 to 2010, won individual gold medals in 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2010, and in relay in 2009.
Ksenia Chernykh is a Russian mountain bike orienteer and World Champion. She won individual gold medals at the 2007 and 2008 World MTB Orienteering Championships, and a relay gold medal in 2006.
Bodil Holmström is a Finnish orienteering competitor. She won a bronze medal in the relay at the 2001 Junior World Orienteering Championships in Miskolc. She competed at the World Games in 2009, where she won a silver medal in the relay, and placed 7th in the sprint and 12th in the middle distance. At the 2009 World Orienteering Championships in Miskolc she won a bronze medal with the Finnish relay team.
Signe Søes is a Danish orienteering competitor. She won a silver medal in the short distance at the 2003 Junior World Orienteering Championships in Põlva. She placed fourth in the sprint, 10th in the middle and 12th in the long distance at the 2009 World Orienteering Championships in Miskolc. In 2010, her best place at the European Orienteering Championships (EOC) was 4th in relay at Palmela, Portugal. At the 2008 and 2010 World Cups, she placed 2nd. At the European Championships 2014 at Primorsko, Bulgaria, Søes become European Champion in the middle distance winning gold.

Ida Bobach is a Danish orienteering competitor who was Junior World Champion in 2009, and became triple Junior World Champion from 2010, when she won the sprint, long distance and the relay. She represents the club OK Pan Århus, and since 2007, has received training from Danish national coach Lars Lindstrøm. In 2015 she won gold medals at the World Championships in the long and Relay.
