Pholisa Makeleni is a South African politician who served as a member of the Western Cape Provincial Legislature from May 2014 to May 2019, representing the opposition African National Congress. She served as a member of the Standing Committee on Cultural Affairs and Sport in the Legislature. [1]
The National Council of Provinces (NCOP) is the upper house of the Parliament of South Africa under the (post-apartheid) constitution which came into full effect in 1997. It replaced the former Senate, but is very similar to that body, and to many other upper houses of legislatures throughout the world, in that its purpose is to represent the governments of the provinces, rather than directly representing the people.
The Alabama Legislature is the legislative branch of the government of the U.S. state of Alabama. It is a bicameral body composed of the House of Representatives and Senate. It is one of the few state legislatures in which members of both chambers serve four-year terms and in which all are elected in the same cycle. The most recent election was on November 8, 2022. The Gauteng Provincial Legislature is the legislature of the South African province of Gauteng. It is a unicameral body of 80 members elected every five years. The current legislature, the seventh, was elected on 29 May 2024 and is a hung parliament with no overall majority for any party, with the African National Congress having lost its previous majority, but remaining the largest party with 28 members. The legislature is housed in Johannesburg City Hall in central Johannesburg.
Philippus Adriaan van Staden, known as Philip van Staden, is a South African politician from Gauteng. He has been serving as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the Freedom Front Plus (FF+) since 2019. He previously represented the FF+ in the Gauteng Provincial Legislature from 2014 to 2019. Van Staden was a municipal councillor of the City of Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality from 2011 to 2014.
Annerie Maria Magdalena Weber is a South African politician who serves as a member of the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature. A member of the Democratic Alliance, she served as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa from 2019 until 2024. Weber served as the chairperson of the DA's caucus in the Nkangala District Municipality between 2015 and 2019.

Bekizwe Simon "Bheki" Nkosi is a South African politician who current represents the African National Congress (ANC) as a Member of the National Assembly since 2019. An attorney by training, he was formerly a Member of the Gauteng Provincial Legislature from 1997 to 2012 and he served on the Gauteng Executive Council from 2009 to 2012. He was the deputy president of the ANC Youth League from 1994 to 1996.

Nomathemba Hendrietta Maseko-Jele is a South African politician who served as a Member of the National Assembly of South Africa representing the African National Congress (ANC).
Nhlagongwe Patricia Mahlo is a South African politician. She is a current member of the National Assembly of South Africa representing the African National Congress. Mahlo had previously served as a member of the Limpopo Provincial Legislature and as the Capricorn District Municipality's Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for Strategic Executive Management Services.
Makhoni Maria Ntuli is a South African politician currently serving as a member of the National Assembly of South Africa for the African National Congress. She was elected to the National Assembly in 2019. Ntuli previously served in the KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Legislature.
Violet Sizani Siwela was a South African politician from Mpumalanga. She was a Member of the National Assembly, where she chaired the Portfolio Committee on Small Business Development, and a member of the National Executive Committee of the African National Congress (ANC). She served in the Mpumalanga Provincial Legislature until May 2019.
