Photonics Society of Poland (Polish : Polskie Stowarzyszenie Fotoniczne, PSP) is the largest optics/optoelectronics/photonics organization in Poland. It was transformed from the SPIE Poland Chapter on October 18, 2007 during the Extraordinary General Meeting of the SPIE Poland Chapter members.
PSP is a publisher of Photonics Letters of Poland.

Photonics Letters of Poland is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Photonics Society of Poland in cooperation with SPIE four times a year. Founded in 2009. The journal has the following divisions of editorial scope: optical technology; information processing; lasers, photonics; environmental optics; and biomedical optics.

Optica, founded as the Optical Society of America, is a professional society of individuals and companies with an interest in optics and photonics. It publishes journals, organizes conferences and exhibitions, and carries out charitable activities.
SPIE is an international not-for-profit professional society for optics and photonics technology, founded in 1955. It organizes technical conferences, trade exhibitions, and continuing education programs for researchers and developers in the light-based fields of physics, including: optics, photonics, and imaging engineering. Acharya Narendra Dev College is a constituent college of University of Delhi situated in Govindpuri (Kalkaji), Delhi, India. Established in 1991, Acharya operates under the aegis of, and is fully funded by, the Government of Delhi. It is named after the great educationist and reformist of modern India, Acharya Narendra Dev.
The European Optical Society (EOS), founded in 1991, is a European organisation for the development of the science of optics. Membership is open to national optical societies, individuals, companies, organisations, educational institutions, and learned and professional societies. EOS runs international conferences; lobbies for optical science at European level; offers a focus for collecting and disseminating knowledge in the field, and publishes the online journal JEOS:RP.
Nader Engheta is an Iranian-American scientist. He has made pioneering contributions to the fields of metamaterials, transformation optics, plasmonic optics, nanophotonics, graphene photonics, nano-materials, nanoscale optics, nano-antennas and miniaturized antennas, physics and reverse-engineering of polarization vision in nature, bio-inspired optical imaging, fractional paradigm in electrodynamics, and electromagnetics and microwaves.
Xi-Cheng Zhang is a Chinese-born American physicist, currently serving as the Parker Givens Chair of Optics at the University of Rochester, and the director of the Institute of Optics. He is also the Chairman of the Board and President of Zomega Terahertz Corporation.
Allan Dawson Boardman was a British physicist, known for his work on surface plasmons and guided wave optics, especially nonlinear waves, solitons, magneto-optics and negative refracting metamaterials. He was a theorist and numerical analyst in these areas, especially magneto-optics and metamaterials. In 2006 he was made a fellow of the Optical Society of America for his contributions in these fields and for "exemplary leadership and service to the optics community".
Chinese Optics Letters is a monthly peer-reviewed scientific journal published by Optica. Established in 2003, it covers optics research originating in the People's Republic of China as well as coverage from groups outside the country.
The IEEE Photonics Society, formerly the IEEE Lasers and Electro-Optics Society (LEOS), is a society of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), focused on the scientific and engineering knowledge about the field of quantum electronics. In the hierarchy of IEEE, the Photonics Society is one of the close to 40 technical societies organized under the IEEE Technical Activities Board.

Anurag Sharma is an Indian physicist and a professor at the department of physics of the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He is known for his pioneering researches on optoelectronics and optical communications and is an elected fellow of all the three major Indian science academies viz. Indian Academy of Sciences, Indian National Science Academy and National Academy of Sciences, India as well as Indian National Academy of Engineering. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research, the apex agency of the Government of India for scientific research, awarded him the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology, one of the highest Indian science awards for his contributions to Engineering Sciences in 1998.

Audrey K. Ellerbee Bowden is an American engineer and Dorothy J. Wingfield Phillips Chancellor's Faculty Fellow at Vanderbilt University, as well as an Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering. She is a Fellow of Optica, the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering and the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE).
Kathleen Ann Cerqua-Richardson is an American physicist and the Pegasus Professor of Optics & Photonics, Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Central Florida. She is a Fellow of SPIE, the American Ceramic Society and The Optical Society. Her research considers the synthesis and characterisation of novel glasses and ceramic materials.
Pascuala García Martínez is a Spanish physicist and Professor of Optics at the University of Valencia, where her research specialises in developing new optical and digital techniques for pattern recognition and imaging applications. She is a Fellow of the International Society for Optics and Photonics (SPIE).
Nirmalya Ghosh is an Indian physicist known for his research in the field of Optical Polarization and related phenomena. He is a professor in the Department of Physical Sciences and Centre of Excellence in Space sciences India (CESSI), Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Kolkata. At IISER Kolkata, Nirmalya established the bio-optics and Nano-photonics (bioNap) research laboratory to carry out research on fundamental aspects of light-matter interactions and its diverse practical applications. The research of bioNap group headed by Ghosh on polarized light has impacted multiple areas of optical sciences from quantum optics, space optics, and biomedical optics, to material sciences and spectroscopy. Ghosh was the 2021 recipient of the G.G Stokes Award in Optical Polarization by SPIE, the international society of optics and photonics. He is elected fellow of Indian Academy of Sciences (FASc) and National Academy of Sciences, India (FNASc).
