Ijeoma Josephina Otabor (born 2 June 1997) known as Phyna is a Nigerian actress, model, hype woman, entertainer and a reality TV star. [1] She is the winner of Big Brother Naija season 7. [2] [3] [4] [5]
Phyna is from Ekpon in Igueben LGA in Edo state. [6] While on the Big Brother show she mentioned that she is Igbo by tribe eventhough her community is in Edo State. She grew up in Edo State where she had her primary and secondary education. [7] She completed her studies in Engineering Department at Auchi Polytechnic. [8]
Before entering the Big Brother Naija house, Phyna was a commercial model, who started her career from college and was signed by a modelling agency. [6]
Phyna entered the 7th season of Big Brother Naija (Level Up) as the tenth housemate on 23 July 2022. [9] [10]
During the season finale of the show on 2 October 2022, she was declared the winner scoring 40.74% of the final votes ahead of Bryann with 26.74% of the total votes cast and was entitled to the ₦100 000 000 (one hundred million naira) grand prize, [11] [12] making her the second female to win the show, three years after Mercy Eke won it. Big Brother Naija Season 3, also known as Big Brother Naija: Double Wahala is the third season of the Nigerian version of the reality show Big Brother. Produced by South Africa's Red Pepper Pictures and it was launched on 28 January 2018 on DStv channel 198 which also served as a live feed form the house.
