"Piccadilly Circus" is a song written by Lars Andersson and Bruno Glenmark, and performed by Pernilla Wahlgren at Melodifestivalen 1985, where the song ended up fourth behind "Bra vibrationer", performed by Kikki Danielsson. The single peaked at second place at the Swedish singles chart. On 9 March 1985 the song entered Trackslistan. The song lyrics describe a love meeting at Piccadilly Circus. [1]
Wahlgren entered stage with the brothers Vito and Emilio Ingrosso as dancers. Wahlgren was later criticised for wearing an Iron Cross-like item on stage, which was referred to as Nazi propaganda. [2]
A Framåt fredag parody version was called "Inga djur på cirkus", describing Miljöpartiet in 2005 asking for stop using animals at circus shows in Sweden. [3]

Pernilla Nina Elisabeth Wahlgren is a Swedish singer and actress. She has sung in Melodifestivalen several times; her 1985 entry titled "Piccadilly Circus" became popular and successful. She has acted in several plays and films, playing roles including Esmeralda in the Academy Award-winning Fanny and Alexander. She has twice received the Guldmasken award for her work in theater.
Pearls of Passion is the debut studio album by Swedish pop duo Roxette, originally released on cassette and vinyl on 31 October 1986 in Scandinavia and Canada. The album was remastered and released on CD on 31 October 1997, with several previously unreleased bonus tracks. It was remastered and re-released again in 2009.
Allsång på Skansen is a Swedish show held at Skansen, Stockholm, every summer on Tuesdays between 8pm and 9pm. The audience is encouraged to sing along with musical guest stars to well-known Swedish and international songs. The show started in 1935 on a small scale; about 50 people in the audience. Today, about 10,000–25,500 people come to each performance.
"Neverending Love" is a song by Swedish pop music duo Roxette, released on 8 July 1986 by EMI as their debut single. The track was originally written in Swedish by Per Gessle, as "Svarta glas", for recording artist Pernilla Wahlgren, who turned it down. However, she offered the song to her brother Niclas Wahlgren, who recorded his own version. The release of his single was cancelled at the request of EMI, when Gessle recorded an English version of the song with Marie Fredriksson.

Benjamin Daniele Wahlgren Ingrosso is a Swedish singer, songwriter and record producer. As a child, he appeared in the leading role in several musicals, and in 2006 he won Lilla Melodifestivalen with the song "Hej Sofia". He won the celebrity dancing TV show Let's Dance 2014, and has competed twice in Melodifestivalen in 2017 and 2018 respectively. He won in 2018 and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2018, with the song "Dance You Off".
"Svindlande affärer", written by Bengt Palmers, is a song performed by Pernilla Wahlgren for the film of the same name in 1985.
"Ännu doftar kärlek" is a song by Swedish singer-songwriter Marie Fredriksson, issued on 15 May 1984. Fredriksson had previously been lead vocalist for two commercially unsuccessful rock bands, Strul (Trivial) and MaMas Barn. Following the disbandment of the latter group, she signed a recording contract as a solo artist with EMI Svenska, who released "Ännu doftar kärlek" as the lead single from her debut studio album, Het vind (1984).
Glenmark Eriksson Strömstedt (GES) is a Swedish supergroup formed in 1994. The group's line-up comprises Anders Glenmark, Orup and Niklas Strömstedt, whose last names begin with the letters forming the trio's name. During 1994 and 1995, the group achieved many list successes in Sweden, and has since then been active in periods.
Sol, vind och vatten is a song written by Swedish lyricist Kenneth Gärdestad and composer Ted Gärdestad. First recorded by Lena Andersson, the song was released as a single in October 1972. Ted Gärdestad recorded the song for his 1973 album Ted.
"Äntligen" is a pop rock song by Swedish singer-songwriter Marie Fredriksson, released on 20 March 2000 by EMI as the lead single from her first greatest hits compilation album, Äntligen – Marie Fredrikssons bästa 1984–2000. The track was written and produced by Fredriksson alongside her husband Mikael Bolyos, and recorded at the couple's home studio in Djursholm. The song was a minor hit in her home country upon release, peaking at number 34 and spending eight weeks on the Swedish Singles Chart. A remixed version of the song, titled "Solen gick ner över stan", appeared as the b-side; an edited version of this remix also appeared as a bonus track on the parent compilation.
Gamla kära tuffa tuff-tuff-tåget is a song written by Bert Månson, and originally recorded by Ingmar Nordströms on 1974 album Saxparty 1. Its lyrics deals with memories from travelling by train in a time when steam locomotives were still around the out at the railroads.
Emilio Ingrosso is a Swedish-Italian dancer, composer and restaurant owner. He was the background dancer for Pernilla Wahlgren when she performed the song Piccadilly Circus in Melodifestivalen 1985. The two married in 1993 and remained together until 2002. The couple has three children together: Oliver Ingrosso, Bianca Wahlgren Ingrosso and Benjamin Ingrosso. Ingrosso has been married to Åsa Björling since 2016. He owns two restaurants in Mallorca, Spain.
