"Pieces of a Dream" is the first single from the Japanese R&B (J-urban) band Chemistry. [1]
This was the first single from the duo that had won the Asayan held in Japan. Since the band won a contest similar to the American Idol show, the single was expected to be a success. Although the single debuted at #2 on the Oricon charts, it finally reached #1 after 6 weeks. For 15 weeks, it stayed in the top 10. Once it fell from the number one spot, it charted for another twenty-two weeks. "Pieces of a Dream" was the third-highest ranking single of 2001, selling over one million copies.
In 2016, the song was featured in the Anime, ReLIFE for episode 11 ending theme.

Mr. Children, commonly referred to by their contracted nickname "Misu-Chiru" (ミスチル), are a Japanese pop rock band formed in 1989. Consisting of Kazutoshi Sakurai, Kenichi Tahara, Keisuke Nakagawa, and Hideya Suzuki, they made their major label debut in 1992. They are one of the best selling artists in Japan and one of the most successful Japanese rock artists, having sold over 75 million records and creating the "Mis-chil Phenomenon" (ミスチル現象) in the mid-1990s in Japan. They held the record for the highest first week sales of a single in Japan for 15 years, with 1.2 million copies of their 10th single "Namonaki Uta" (名もなき詩), have 30 consecutive number 1 singles, replaced Glay as the all-male band to have the most number 1 albums on the Oricon charts, and won the Japan Record Award in 1994 for "Innocent World" and in 2004 for "Sign". As of 2012, Mr. Children has published fifteen original studio albums and 34 physical singles, along with five compilations, a live album, and fifteen home video releases.

Dahlia is the fifth studio album by Japanese heavy metal band X Japan, released on November 4, 1996, by Atlantic Records. It is the band's last album before breaking up the following year, and the last to feature new work by guitarist hide, due to his death two years later. The album is composed largely of ballads, with only a few tracks retaining the band's heavier musical traits seen on previous releases. It topped the Oricon chart and stayed on the chart for only 15 weeks, but managed to sell over half a million copies. Seven, nearly all, of the album's songs were released as singles, most of which also topped the singles chart and sold well.
F.T. Island, is a South Korean rock band formed by FNC Entertainment in 2007. The band currently consists of main vocalist Lee Hong-gi, bassist Lee Jae-jin, and drummer Choi Min-hwan. Guitarist Oh Won-bin left the band in 2009 and was replaced by Song Seung-hyun. Former leader Choi Jong-hoon left the band and retired from the entertainment industry on March 14, 2019, while Seung-hyun left the group on December 31, 2019, to pursue his acting career.

Touch Me! is Japanese singer-songwriter Mai Kuraki's eighth studio album, which was released on January 21, 2009, in Japan by her record label Northern Music. The album was released in two formats; the regular single CD version and a limited CD+DVD version, whose content contained a behind the scenes look at the making of the album, as well an interview and clips from her 2008 tour. The album follows the same pattern as "One Life", in which Kuraki collaborated with new composers.
CNBLUE is a South Korean pop rock band formed in 2009. The band consists of Jung Yong-hwa, Kang Min-hyuk (drums), and Lee Jung-shin (bass). First bassist Kwon Kwang-jin left the band after they released their debut Japanese extended play Now or Never in 2009, and was replaced by Lee Jung-shin. Lee Jong-hyun left the band on August 28, 2019.
(An Imitation) Blood Orange is the fifteenth studio album by Japanese pop rock band Mr. Children and was released on November 28, 2012. It was the band's first studio album in two years. The album consists of a total of 11 tracks, including their triple A-side single, "Inori: Namida no Kidou" / "End of the Day" / "Pieces", released in April 2012, as well as "Hypnosis". "Joutoku" was used as the theme song for Ikuta Toma's drama Osozaki no Himawari: Boku no Jinsei, Renewal and their charity digital single "Kazoe Uta", released in April 2011, for victims of the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami. This album was released in two versions: a limited CD+DVD edition and a regular CD-only edition, but the same price. The limited edition comes with a DVD including the PVs for "Hypnosis", "Marshmallow Day", "Inori: Namida no Kidou", and "Joutoku".
"Love Love Love" is a song recorded by Japanese band Dreams Come True for their eighth studio album, Love Unlimited ∞. It was released as the album's lead single by Epic/Sony Records on July 24, 1995. It is the theme song to the TBS drama series Aishiteiru to Itte Kure. The single's B-side, "Arashi ga Kuru", was also featured throughout the series' twelve episodes. With over two million copies sold, "Love Love Love" is the tenth best-selling Japanese single of all time and remains the band's most successful single.

Wake Up is the first Japanese and second overall studio album by South Korean boy band BTS. It was released in Japan on December 24, 2014, through Pony Canyon. The 13-track album includes Japanese versions of the band's Korean singles "No More Dream", "Boy in Luv", and "Danger"—all of which were released in the months prior as physical Japanese singles—and two new, original Japanese songs: "The Stars" and "Wake Up". The album became BTS' highest-charting and best-selling album in Japan at the time, following its debut at number three on the Oricon Albums Chart, and sales of over 28,000 copies.
E.G. Time is the third studio album by Japanese collective unit E-girls, released digitally on December 24, 2014, and physically on January 1, 2015 by Rhythm Zone and Avex Music Creative Inc. The record was produced by Exile Hiro's, and created by a variety of producers, composers and songwriters outside and from Japan, namely Clarabell, Yasutaka Nakata, Fast Lane, T.Kura, amongst others. It was distributed in 10 different formats, with various artwork sleeves and musical and visual material. E.G. Time also serves as the final record for numerous vocalists and performers in the band.
"Believe" is a song recorded by Japanese female trio Kalafina. It was released as a stand-alone single to promote the Japanese anime visual novel Fate/stay night in November 2014. "Believe" was the group's second single from their fifth studio album far on the water. The song was written by Yuki Kajiura, who also composed and produced the single which she has done for the group since their debut.
Poppin'Party is a Japanese all-female band that was formed in 2015 as part of Bushiroad's media franchise BanG Dream!. The group's members are voice actresses who portray fictional characters in the franchise's anime series and mobile game BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!.
Dream is the third Japanese-language extended play by South Korean boy band Seventeen. It was released on November 9, 2022, through Hybe Labels Japan. It contains one original song, "Dream", the Japanese version of two songs originally released in Korean, "Rock with You" and "All My Love", and the "holiday" version of the English track "Darling". The EP has been marketed as the band's "first" Japanese-language EP despite Seventeen having recorded two previous Japanese EPs, We Make You and 24H, which were officially classified as "mini-album".
